i just got this from chart :: Where will you find Rufus Wainwright, Avril Lavigne and The Flaming Lips all performing together? Other than in the dreams of a certain ChartAttack editor, there’s only one place you’ll find such a prime selection of pop deliciousness — the new Nettwerk Christmas album.
Usually these kind of Christmas albums are lame to the core, but this one is actually pretty cool. It’s the second installment in Nettwerk’s Maybe This Christmas series. The first edition was also pretty cool, featuring seasonal songs by Ron Sexsmith, Coldplay and Jimmy Eat World. Maybe This Christmas Too follows the first disc’s lead with Christmas standards and "new classics" performed by the stars of today.
The spiciest song on the comp is bound to be a duet (yes, a duet) between Avril Lavigne and fellow Canadian songstress Chantal Kreviazuk, who perform "O Holy Night." The Flaming Lips, a band who love Christmas almost as much as they love confetti, clock in with "White Christmas" and Rufus does a song called "Spotlight On Christmas." Other participating artists include Barenaked Ladies, Dave Matthews Band, Badly Drawn Boy and many others.
Maybe This Christmas Too is due out on November 4. Here’s a tracklisting:
Rufus Wainwright "Spotlight On Christmas"
Eisley "The Winter Song"
Avril Lavigne and Chantal Kreviazuk "O Holy Night"
Rilo Kiley "Xmas Cake"
Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan "Silent Night"
Guster "Donde Esta Santa Claus?"
Be Good Tanyas "Rudy"
Dave Matthews Band "Christmas Song"
Oh Susanna "Go Tell It On The Mountain"
Barenaked Ladies "Green Christmas"
Martina Sorbara "It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year"
Badly Drawn Boy "Donna And Blitzen"
Flaming Lips "White Christmas"
Sixpence None The Richer "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear"

Actually, I'm not ignorant at all. Please don't assume that I'm a bitter jerkoff who hates Avril just for the hell of it cause I said that she can suck the shit out of my ass.
I have my own reasons for hating Avril, and it's kind've...hefty and involves lots of explanation. If you really wanna hear all of it I'll PM you or something.

I actually really dont see much wrong with Avril. I she is definately over-hyped and shit, but she does have singing talent and isnt a complete barbie. I don't think I would buy her album or anything, but I cant think of a valid reason to critisize her.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I have nothing bad to say about Avril either .. I mean let's put it this way .. if I had a 9 year old daughter (for example) and they came home with a Britney or Christina cd I'd be a little concerned of my daughter turning into a mini whore .. now if they bring home an Avril cd? Meh .. what, they'll wear a tie for a phase and ask for guitar lessons maybe or play on their brother's skateboard .. I'd rather have a mini wanna be rocker then a mini hoochie who uses sex to get ahead in the world
As for Chantal .. she's great to see live, was chatty and laughing and friendly on stage .. then when I met her in person she was snobby and bitchy and very non friendly .. I think they're both talented in their own styles.
