Anonymous File-Sharing
Anything anyone can recommend?
I want to be prepared in case they decide to start harrasing twelve year olds here in the great white north.
I'm using Kazaa Lite K++ which claims to be anonymous, but I figured I should check with the masses (ie, you).
EDIT: Damn Kazaa Lite site is down.

Sueing a 12 year old is sick. I don't care what statement you are trying to make, it is wrong. What are these people thinking? Who do they think they are?
And that is only in the states now. That does mean that Canada will be soon to follow, but right now you are good.
I also want to compliment Universal because they got the point and lowered music prices. I want to go buy their CD's now, I really do. But I still lack money.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

The record comanies are so quick to blame filesharing for all their problems instead of looking at themselves. A lot of CD's today are close to the same price they were when they were introduced. It costs pennies to make a CD, so why do they charge so bloody much? Plus, look at the iTunes store. It proves people will pay for mp3 files. They just passed ten million sales. I'm a university student and can't afford to go out and buy every CD I like. This makes me so mad that record companies are looking for scapegoats when its largely their own damn fault record sales are down.
Well, that was a bit of a rant. Oh well.
As for avoiding being sued, they're only going after people who share huge amounts of files. Over 1000 at least, so if you don't share too many, you should be okay. For now.

it doesnt matter if you share the files, its having illegal copied versions of the CD. file sharing is how people get them

I'm willing to bet that half of those people are 11-13 year olds, mabey younger.

This is pretty sickening. They can't sue you for having bootlegs from Kazaa, can they?
And this is my term paper for my rhetoric class, so keep these links flowing in people.

I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Yeah, because you're supplying it for others to "steal".

But for those not lucky enough to live in Canada, penny-arcade.com tells you five different websites where you can legally download music from without having to worry about being sued. Go to their site and scroll down. They're links hidden by random words. You'll find them.

No no no Bobert, I was telling those not smart enough to go to the high quality website of penny-arcade.com to go there and find out what programs are legal, so we all can stay out of jail and not pay at least a $2 per song fine. Stupid fucks.
