Annoying phrases

Post by I AM ME »

do any of you guys have friends that use annoying phrases?

mine are : "WERD!!!!", "What's up dawg?" (or anything containing Dawg for that matter), or basically any Wigger/Wangster slang

although i do have a bad habit of using some stoner and early 90's phrases like: "Stoked" and "Deadly"
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

"Hold on, hold on children, your mother and father are leaving, hold on, hold on children your best freind's parents are leaving, leaving,.......*AHHH*! " - Death From Above - Black History Month

here's one for you that i dislike:

up your nose with a rubber hose.
Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.

Nobody's gonna miss me, no tears will fall, no ones gonna weap, when i hit that road.
my boots are broken my brain is sore, fer keepin' up with thier little world, i got a heavy load.
gonna leave 'em all just like before, i'm big city bound, your always 17 in your hometown

we and my buds use "shibby" quite often to mean something cool.

by far th biggest we use is the phrase "nay-nay". start using that, and you'll never stop.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

yeah, how do people actually know what the hell he;s saying? and how can he take himself seriously when he talks like that?

Oh come on, it's Cotter. We all should know it's Cotter.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

"Go squeaze a turtles head!!!!"
"there is nothing because there are no words with wich to think any other way than regurgitating slogans and propaganda that has been served to you by the government. people become human soundtracks. it prevents self expression and without words to express individual thoughts what becomes of a person? they are nothing but an extention of human power"-Yvette S.

Damn I had a whole list of these when I worked at the Jub. One of them was people saying "my eye", or "my foot" or some really weird variations on that. The only way it is acceptable is if you say "my ass".

People who refuse to curse and instead say stuff like "goshdarnit!" or "shut the f....ront door" or "kiss my tush", etc.

It's like YOUR MOUTH WON'T FALL OFF IF YOU SAY THE ACTUAL WORD!!!
