Yeah, of course it does.

I mean, i'm not sure it does, but it makes perfect sense. They seem to really like that song (*wishes that it was put on clumsy* ) and since it wasn't put on the cd, they wanted to do something with the song, so they just dedicated the cover art to it.

If they liked the song that much, it would have been on the album.

That was probably just one of the ideas they had while recording. Since it fit with both the Carnival theme and with Trapeze, they chose it and had Saul do the shoot. Then (or perhaps shortly before the shoot) they cut the song. But the cover stayed because it had already been shot, and it still kind of fit.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire

A guy letting his slut wife fall to her death is upbeat?

Ahem, the melody I believe he is talking about. It is quite a fun little song. On the topic of fun songs with evil, twisted lyrics, that's what "Happiness..." is all about.

I have heard in an interview a long time ago that trapeze was going to be the title of the album, but they eventually ended up cutting the song. It really doesnt fit (melodically) with the rest of clumsy(or any album for that matter. It is a wicked song though!
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

trapeze rocks socks.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

I'm not crazy about Trapeze. I never really understood the fascination.
