I bet it was Central Park. Man, that was a good show.

Jer's not bad, either. They played "A Story About A Girl" at Villanova after Rob (I think? Or was it Kimmy? Or Jacqui??? Or a combo of all three? ) asked.

Didn't the Audience sing 4AM in CP, or most of it. SOOZ> I know in Ottawa he sang it , but I was talking about when the last time I coauld remember seeing him sing it by himself.
It is like SUperman's Dead. Does anyone remember ever seeing that song done without the audience singing the end? Better yet, Is Anybody Home? THat is another song where the audience sings. It was funny when we saw them in Providence a few years ago. Raine sort of *went off* on the audience for singing it wrong. It was definitely something to be seen. Some on here at that show can tell you. Then he messed it up himself. Haha. I love it when Raine goofs on songs. Nice to know we aren't the only ones screwing up the lyrics. If you guys listen to the ACC(best buy show) he totally screws up Mafia-he realizes the mistake and lets the audience sing, then joins back in. Last year in Toledo he messed up Story About A Girl. People will say he screws up Not Enough. I just think he changed the lyrics live as to the CD, cause he seems to say the same thing at everyshow. THere are some songs he changes the lyrics to live. *If You Believe*-he says "you thought you could buy your last piece, but nothing was there" instead of "time to beware". In Naveed sometimes he will say 'Reaches for that soul" instead of "reaches for that phone". littel things like that.
I have noticed this though, no matter where they play whenever Raine stops singing for whatever reason-the audience will pick up th esong. I think that is so great that the fans are like that. I am always amazed when I go to a show and see that. No matter what performer. Says alot about the fans of performer.

Thats whats great about OLP. There the kind of band that everyone knows even if you arn't a fan. Everyone has heard their songs at some point so even those annoying people that go to concerts and stand there thinking "entertain me" will know their songs.

Nope! I remember him singing it, cos I was really happy that he did.

I think I know why they like going raw.... they sound more canadian that way... ever listen to supermans dead live and then cd? listen to the difference in "in my head"
i think what they mean by a more raw kinda sound is not as horrible as st anger but kinda like naveed but with a little more of a live sound to it

I could see that happening a bit more with #6........cuz they were especially impressed with how BBTS turned out.

hey everyone, just registered to these boards, and just heard WTSOYF and WIC. I have to say, i did not like gravity nearly as much as their other four, but these songs give me very big hope. And to think, when i heard they were going back to bob rock i was about ready to officially leave OLP behind me like i did with finger eleven.
[glow=#6400ff]"Are you going to the grave with unlived lives in your veins?[/glow] [glow=#0000ff] "I hope that when the world comes to an end, I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to." [/glow]
Gravity is peculiar, it's the only album not named after a song on the disc, it's short, it took very little time to make, and they tried a different technique in where they went to make it. Raine claims that the band can make the gist of a song in 5 minutes, the work together so well now. But i think true spirit can only be put into a song over time, not just a quick obvious tune... not that OLP is anymore guilty of that than anybody else. I grew tired of most of the songs on gravity (though i still do listen to them) they just don't last like the other songs that i can listen to forever (but still i get sick of other bands just like that). Um, story bout a girl and innocent and SOT and sorry are my faves of it (which is silly because thats almost all the songs anyway) they are a rugged band, never give up on them!

It is in SOT-Defying Gravity-I think that is how they came up with the title. I like to think of th etitle this way. GRAVITY keeps us grounded right. The GRAVITY CD was mostly about relationships, and relationships keep us grounded in life. That is how I interpet the title.
As for Raw. I think they mean that everyone records together at once. instead of Raine doing vocals in one room, Jeremy doing Drum tracks in another and Steve and DUncan in another. Then taking them all and dubbing them together. I think they jsut want to record it together and work from there. That is waht they mean by Raw. St Anger was done that way. I don't think youguys hav eto worry. OLP will never have the sam esound as Metellica. They aren't a thrash metal band.
