why not?
I've worked 16 hour shifts before
as long as you're taking the proper breaks/lunches it's all good .. we're just not allowed to work 7 days in a row.

I need your opinions on this.
My boyfriend's birthday is coming up, and since it's our last year with our posse of nerd friends, we're all getting each other big presents for our last birthdays as a group. Things like Gamecubes, playstations, etc.
I want to get him a new video card, and it's over 600 dollars. I'm probably paying 2/3 of it, and my posse-mates are helping with contributions that will cover the remaining 1/3 of the cost.
The thing is, I spoke to his mom about the plan (who is really really awesome nice), and she doesn't want me spending all that money on him. I don't mind spending it, because it's not as though I have anything I want to buy for myself.
She recommended that we get him a gift certificate for Future Shop instead.
But everyone else got consoles and games, and I don't want his birthday to pass with just a gift certificate.
So, should I take her suggestion, take the back up plan of a DVD drive and wireless mouse, or get the video card anyway?

Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul not Constantinople
Been a long time gone Constantinople
Now it's Turkish delight on a moon-lit night
Every gal in Constantinople
Live in Istanbul not Constantinople
So if you've a date in Constantinople
She'll be waiting in is Istanbul
Even old New York was once New Amsterdam
Why they changed it, I can't say
People just liked it better that way
So take me back to Constantinople
No you can't go back to Constantinople
Been a long time gone Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks.
