OLP In The Mall

Post by wanan »

Do you ever walk through the mall and hear an OLP song and just instantly get happier? I did that the other day and it was a total shift in my mood, it just put a smile on my face and I almost felt like they are my secret band and now everyone is getting to hear the genius that is OLP. Weird. :freak:

OLP doesn't get mall-play here. And I don't go to malls that often anymore.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Yeah, I actually heard Somewhere Out There when I was in LA in a store, and that was awesome. It was really surprising though. :)

I don't recall hearing OLP in any malls... but I get completely ecstatic when my radio station plays (pre-Gravity) OLP.

my radio station never plays old olp, but once i was walking through this mall in like vancouver right after gravity came out and i realized a store was playing the entire album, so i stayed in it for hours. too bad it was a men's clothing store. there's only so long you can look at silk boxers before it starts to look suspicous....

and when i went to buy my mp3 player, the guy gave me a burnt cd to try in it, and when i realized it was clumsy, i almost pissed my pants.

also, i was just leaving my friends house once, right after i had just finished playing supermans dead at full blast for her, and when i walked outside, i thought i heard it ringing in my ears. then i realized someone was playing it really, really loud outside at a party or something and i could hear it from several blocks away. i wanted to run around and find whoever was playing it and just hug them, lol. my mom yelled at me to get in the car at the thought of this idea.

I heard the live version of SOT when I was at the movies. But they had to shut off the radio cuz the movie was playing, so I didnt get to hear the whole thing. :(

i was in some sportsmart or something, full of skinny white burlington teenagers wearing FUBU, and they were playing the first track from naveed, the first track from Clumsy, the first track from Happiness, the first track from SM, the first track from Gravity, the second track from Naveed... etc. etc. etc. It was AMAZING. I just stood there and stared at the speakers in a trance. All the fucky little hoods were like " what the hell is this music?? :wtf: " IT WAS AMAZING
