CM is the abbreviation for the website, clumsymonkey.com.
Ray Kurzweil is a guy who wrote a book called "The Age Of Spiritual Machines" and is the weird voice you hear talking on those tracks on Spiritual Machines that aren't actual songs. He just talks about odd shit, excerpts from his book.
I hope this answers your question.

I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

CM= Crazy Men. Just kidding. It stands for Clumsy Monkey.
Ray Kurzweil = One smart puppy. The author of: The Age of Spiritual Machines: When Computers Exceed Human Intelligence. That is the book that the concept for Spiritual Machines was derived from. You can learn more about him at http://www.kurzweiltech.com/aboutray.html

Why would you edit your post potato girl? You just had the laughing thing and I explained the answer, and then you post what I say? That seems rather...stupid to say the least...
And no, it was Mike who was influenced by the book. He was the one that bought it.

Yeah, Mike was looking for something to read on the bus. He went into a book store, saw the shiney cover and picked it up. He bought it, and started reading it. He was so amazed by the book that he started reading parts to the other guys. Everyone loved it so much that Raine began writing lyrics based loosely on the ideas in the book. They decided to go all-out and make a concept album based on it.
The Age of Spiritual Machines is an amazing read if you don't mind some extremely heavy concepts.

My post was there long enough to see that you had the stupid laughing face there and nothing else. That's all I have to say about that.
And it's a typo. Like your screen name. See, instead of the letter "o" you have a 0 in your name that doesn't belong there.
