I think that what may have happened (and this is just outright assumption) is that OTiF was scrapped, and never got completely mixed and recorded, so it didn't sound as studio-ish as the rest of the Daredevil soundtrack.

aaaah........never thought of that, Rob the 430944347th you're a bright one
Hatred is gained as much by good works as by evil. - Niccoló Machiavelli
I think the whole song would be better if two things happened.
1. Raine put a lot more emotion into the last stanza of the first verse (I'm not afraid, I'm gonna make you pay, I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face).
2. Raine changed the line from "Or your shitty attitude" to "Your condecending attitude". It's more specific to what the song's about, it sounds more intelligent and it doesn't sound like an empty insult.

I definitely agree with you on the first point. It would be much cooler if he screamed it or added one of his trademark falsettos in some way. As for the second point- you're right it would be more intelligent, but it doesn't flow as much. Think about it "I don't like you, or your shitty attitude" compared to "I don't like you, or your condecending attitude". It just doesn't flow quite as well.
I don't like you, Your condecending attitude, Or the company that you keep.
There's one more beat than before, but if you sing it right it actually flows really well.
Oh, ok... that's not so bad actually... I thought you wanted to keep the "or" in before "your condecending attitude".
That's not bad... it still doesn't float as well as the first- but i'd take intelligent lyrics over better flowing ones anyday of the week- unless it's totally out of synche
We don't have to worry anyway- Raine likes to write "simple" lyrics now. They have enough of us smart fans who look into the music- now they need some stupid fans. Gravity was their first attempt. I love the album, but...
"I know you're out there, somewhere out there..."
vs.
"She builds her own satillite from an old rusted chair..."
The point is this. The song hasnt even been offically released yet and seeing as Raine often switches up lyrics especially before release i wouldnt criticize just yet.. but i digress.

He actually already did change that. Ever since, well, at least Knoxville (cos that's the first time I heard it since Lando's boot of Craven), he's sung "or your attitude", just dropping the third word out all together. It works nicely.

Nope. It's like most others that don't quite make it on an album. It's probably either sitting in the studio in Maui or deleted all together.
damn. we must send someone over to maui to steal the recording...

If everyone wants to pay for it, Alex could probably fly me down. I'll use my stealth skills learned through hours of gameplay to sneak in, steal the track (along with any others lying around), then bop Bob over the head just for the hell of it, then sneak out and fly away.

Yay I love the version of song that I heard all except that one line which I really didn't like - it's just the kind of thing I could hear Raine saying, but turning it into a lyric just sounds bad. so without it ...
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
What was this "one line" he said? And is the new version any different from the old version musically or just lyrically. By old version i mean the Craven show.
