Just watched the clip on the MM site... doesn't seem too great... as a music video, anyway. Still can't wait for the DVD. But, yeah, seems to move too slow... they could've gone a little more crazy with those boxes, changing camera angles more rapidly and such, and made it a lot cooler. Regardless, I hope someone rips it and it appears on the hub soon. Though, I'm sure it'll be on the DVD, along with the Starseed vid. Hopefully.

why did they even bother releasing it, not that im not excited for it, but starseed didnt do that well, and now they're releasing another vid thats basically the same. Of course, they might be trying to get Not Enough on the charts as a single, and therefore need a video, so they threw one together.... But then why did they bother with Starseed....meh
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

I would guess that the Starseed video was an attempt to market the Live album, while Not Enough is for the DVD. So I hope that means the DVD will be out really soon.
this video disappoints me..even though not enough sucks anyway i mean..what if they do that from now on? or atleast a lot more often? could be part of the "new direction"

Well, it's mostly you and mostly me and a tired gun that's not empty

They are all about playing live and their music having a live feel.....and they are promoting a live album.....how could anyone possibly expect a video with anything but a live performance? *shrugs*
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?
Honestly, I'm impressed that they even made a video for "Not Enough". I really wasn't expecting that considering the fact they're about to release the DVD, they're constantly touring, and they're recording the next studio album. I don't understand how people are expecting this video to be more than what it is. It takes a lot of money and time to make a video and it seems like the guys are using this time and money to do other things. I'm not surprised...
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong
I would have rather had them not make a video for it. Give the airwaves a break from OLP for a while.
Then people will have a chance to say "What ever happened to them? That last album of thiers sucked." Then WHAM! New album, giving a chance to say "Wow, this is a lot better than that one they put out a while ago."
i agree on giving everyone a break from OLP, but gravity didn't suck I love it, just as much as the other albums... OK, maybe not as much as the other albums, but... you get my drift.
hey i haven't seen it, and i watch muchmusic quite a bit
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know
Same here. They better play it on powershift or something and hopefully when it is played, someone can rip it.

Fuck. I just turned it to much to see if it would be on, and I saw OLP. I was about to jump out of my chair and go sit in front of the TV. Then I saw it was Somewhere Out There. I then changed the channel.
It wasn't Not Enough but still better than the other crap they were showing.

The Live videos are just videos they released as a teaser for the Live album/DVD. They're not meant for high rotation. It's somewhat comparable to Radiohead's blips that they used to play rather than releasing singles.
I'm gonna bet it's Sony that's putting them out, and the band hasn't had much imput about the videos. They were probably just told that a couple songs from the DVD would be released to the public.
I believe they put out Starseed first because it's one of their more famous songs. Then Sony put one out for Not Enough since it was getting some decent airplay on some radio stations, which was probably unexpected since live songs don't usually come off too well on the radio.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Sony needs to learn some damned marketing skills. You don't make money from another teaser video. Take the money they spent on the video to fill the airwaves with ads for the DVD closer to it's release date. Give people a break from OLP for a while, then hit them with a new album.
I doubt it cost them much to make. they just tookthe footage straight from the DVD and then gave it some easily made effects. I doubt it cost much more than a couple hundred dollars total...
