i kind of like the name. It's atleast a little deeper than 'Gravity'.

I'm not too sure on how I feel about the album being politically motivated, but when it comes to OLP, any kind of motivated passion is good; unless he's anti-puppy, or something like that.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

Hey politics is better than whatever the hell he was trying to write about on Gravity.

I'm totally the opposite on that. Now don't get me wrong, I dug Gravity more than most CD's released last year; and I'm liking 'Walking In Circles'/'Wipe That Smile...'/'Not Afraid' bootlegs more than I did Gravity. I can' friggin' wait for the new disc... only 14 years 'till it's released! Yippe!! 8-)

really? I've only heard Not Afraid, so I guess you would know better than I would whether the songs suck or not, but you owuld think that with a bit of substance behind the lyrics the album would actually be good...

Yeah, well Anti-Flag does the anti-political lyric thing, and I am pretty sure maybe 3 people on this entire board would like them.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Personally, I don't care what the title of the album is just as long as it's not "The OLP Show" or something lame like that.

From what I've heard of the new songs, I really liked what I heard so I'm ecstatic that they're putting WTSOF on the new album.

Relax, everyone. It seems like so many people are trying to find something wrong with OLP these days and will complain about the smallest issue possible. :freak: It's an album, title. There have been bands/artists out there who have had profound and seemingly intelligent album titles yet the whole album was crap. Let's wait and see what the new OLP album will sound like before we start complaining about how lame the title is.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

Why do people bash Innocent so much??? I think its a good song that takes a lot of flack from people. WE are all Innocent is like Raine saying that no matter what people's judgements are, inside you are a human being and all the good stuff about you shouldn't be taken away. I know it sounds like an anthem............but I like it......and fuck those who don't!

The message is fine. It's not the message that the majority of the CM hates. It's the lack of creativity used to present it.

Creativity in its lyrics or musically??

Personally the music behind Innocent to be quite good........the chorus is nothing mind blowing, but suits the theme..........kind of a rising anthem......I thought the first two verses were well written and delivered by Raine, even though they are a tad cliched. I loved it when Raine added "I remember feel low, I remember......." its a neat little twist saying that I've been through it............meaning that hating these people won't make it better, just finding yourself will. I think its a good message for teens that gets scathed because it parallels some pop songs........despite it being much deeper than it appears.

I know alot don't agree and that's fine........I'm not saying its "Naveed" or anything. but I am glad they released it.

I think it lacks creativity in both. There are some bright spots in it, however. I like that "feeling low" part too. But...that one bright spot can't force me to listen to the rest of the song. Just like some of the bright spots in Gravity can't force me to listen to the album.

wipe that smile off your face, hmmm, i like the song a lot. from what ive heard, the band does to, but i think i agree with most, i think they could come up with a little better album title, but still, it would be that bad i dont think.

Who says that an album title has to be completely "creative"?????

I was actually starting to get sick of that song due to the amount of airplay it got but I heard it on the radio again and I really listened. Surprisingly, I like that song again. The part "I remember feeling low/I remember losing hope/I remember all the feelings and the day they stopped..." sums the whole song very well...how despite the fact that there is innocence in everyone, it eventually gets lost. The guitar part after that is awesome as well, IMO.

Screw the fact that it sounds pop-rock to some people and almost child-like...I like that song. :)
