I am still awesome.........................................................................................seriously.
Twist and Shout by the Beatles (I know this isn't a beatles song, as they actually covered it) They should have Duncan and Steve do the back up parts. It would be fun.

they are not worthy to cover buckley...listening to the two eternal lifes man raine doesnt even come close to buckley.
i think they should do the chicken dance or something...but with their new "cool" attitude i wont expect any covers. maybe they should just become a cover band of old OLP. cover some of them old songs like "under zenith" or "dirty walls".
twist and shout would be amusing, or something motown..that aint no mountain high enough song.

actually
if raine actually uses his voice and with his falsetto's he's capable of pulling off a buckley
they really slowed down eternal life but in talkin to kruno and miro about it, Jeff did a version of eternal life in that manner and the version that olp did back then is "quite similar to that version"
actually the london version with really bad sound quality is way better then the good one

no, olp did a version taped in london, the quality is shit, but raines does a way better, more emtional perfromance, they also use back up vocals which add a ton

i have the "live from the pit" thing from london which is the slowed down version of eternal life and w/ shitty quality.. but that isnt the same version of eternal life that buckley released on grace. the version of eternal life olp did was done by JB live or something like that.
but to say raine's version of eternal life is better than buckley's is sacreligious
since they are trying to be more Rock oriented I say they should try rock classic. That being the case
Crazy Train-( the guitar would be killer and I know Steve can handle it, plus just to hear Raine do the I, I part in the beginning would be cool, and Duncan is an OZZY fan.
Mountain Song-Jane's Addiction
any soundgarden song. - Pretty Noose or Black Hole Sun
Misty Mountain Top-Led Zep
Breaking The Girl-Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Vaseline-Stone Temple Pilots
Welcome to the Jungle-Guns and Roses
I am serious about the above songs. I think it would be interesting to se them do something like th eabove. Only in my wildest dreams.

Besides the fact this would be a hard song for Raine to do, why do you think it isn't a good idea. Steve was slightly influenced or likes Randy Rhoades(guitarist) Duncan is an Ozzy fan(oneof his first shows I believe) and jermey can jsut about drum on anything in my opinion. It really is no odder then any othe rsong. I just gave one song I thought would be interesting to see a cover done. I actually saw them do Van Halen a few years back in a soundcheck..

I'd like to see a cover of Bullet with Butterfly Wings (originally done by the Smashing Pumpkins, to the foo's who don't know!). Maybe a Zwan cover too, though Zwan is brand new.
i think it would be funny if they did a cover of one if the bands that hate them like mgb.

<p>And in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping. The moon tells me a secret. My confidant. As full and bright as I am, this light is not my own. A million light reflections pass over me. It's source is bright and endless. She resuscitates the hopeless. Without her we are lifeless satellites dreaming dreams. And as I pull my head out I am without one doubt. Don't want to be down here feeding my narcissism. I must crucify the ego before it's far too late. I pray the light lifts me out before I pine away.
The band comes out for the encore and Raine immediately run towards some scafolding leading to a balcony. The crowd goes wild. He gets on top of the balcony and stands up there. Steve starts playing. Then Raine puts his mic up to his mouth and out comes...

Picture it. Duncan in the background doing the "up on the roof" in a really deep voice. It's pure magic.

It would rock to see OLP cover Counting Crows "Anna Begins". That would rock motherfackin' socks.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.
