Oli Goldsmith Still Kicking

Post by trentm32 »

Oli Goldsmith, the artist for the SM era stuff, is back online. Just go to oligoldsmith.com, and you'll find his new site. Apparently, he let the BackYardCircus.com URL expire, and he lost it.

I sent him an e-mail, here's his reply:

MY E-MAIL:

"Hey Oli, how goes things?

That's terrible about losing BackYardCircus.com, that
Was a fantastic website. I was wondering when you
think you may have some of the old work that was on
BackYardCircus up at the new site?

Here's his reply...

OLI's E-MAIL:

"thanks, yeah it definitely sucks... I may just throw up the full old
site again at backyardcircus.CA or
something similar. But I will have lots of stuff up at
oligoldsmith.com around the end of the summer.

oli"

Cool beans.

This is what his website says about the demise of BackYardCircus:

"In case you are wondering where backyardcircus.com is - sorry, but I stupidly lost the domain.
I will be setting up this address as my main domain over the next month or so and the body of
content that was there will be back up soon (though at oligoldsmith.com) as well as lots of new material."

Oli's stuff is back online, that's shibby inducing goodness if I ever heard some.

"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

Sweet! I loved Backyardcircus.com!

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.
