Walking in Circles ... to those that've heard it

Post by Flea21212 »

Hey just wondering what everyone's opinion is on "Walking In Circles"

To me the songs just kinda drags along and even when it does start to pick up at the end it doesn't really engage me to the point that I want to sing along. And the lyrics just seem to be the same few lines said over and over again. It also has more of that classic rock sound that maybe OLP is trying to get into. It also seems to repeat some of the same lyrics from "Not Affraid"....(It's a feeling that you know / And are you worried about how I feel you know) and they both include repeating the world "more" over and over again.

But it's just my opinion, i've disliked other songs at the beginning then have grown to love them. This could be another prime example of it.

your thoughts?

i love the music throughout the whole song. the intro guitar sounds really cool. and the bass during the bridge is awesome. the singing part sounds pretty good to me. nothing special until the end when you can really feel raine singing the song. the lyrics are pretty good. i couldn't understand them so when i looked them up, they were pretty interesting and made me think which is a good thing. so, yeah, i think its a pretty good song.

hey man, i personally love walking in circles. ive seen it twice i hear what u are saying about the lyrics, i love the way the """more more more"" and so on goes, i like the energy raine gets across during that song, (my personal opinion of course) being on the front row both times i felt so energized. i feel it is a tight sounding song, it was better the second time i saw it cuz steve was using his telecaster type guitar on it rather than a gibson, very sweet. i love it as much as i love wipe that smile off your face and not afraid. i do, however see the repeated lyrics. possibly walking in circles is gonna be on the cd rather than not afraid, that may explain similar lyrics. anyways, i like the feel of the new stuff.

I like walking in circles, but it is my least favourite of the 3 new songs. and I can almost guarentee that Not Afriad will be on the new CD

leaving Not Afraid off of the new album would be an error in my opinion...

Not Afraid has to be on the new album and I think that it should be the title of the new album.....to symbolize that they are "Not Afraid" to move on and try something new

Walking in Circles.....really has the classic 80's rock feel to it. It's not bad, but my least favourite of the 3 new ones

I love WTSOYF and Not Afraid!
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

well then I guess they should have called Gravity "Sell My Soul" instead of "Gravity"...

WTSOYF, Not Afraid, and Talk is Cheap are all great IMO, Walking in Circles isn't as great, I don't really dig the classic-rock feel, and No Warning I haven't heard a good enough version of to tell.

 The new songs suck. What the hell is the excuse for a solo in N.A.? And the only good part of w.i.c. is "the feelling that you know" part. Not to mention how WTSOYF is complete crap. The one good part is "this is waaaar." But that doesn't sustain the rest of the song. OLP'S new songs are crap.

Hahaha. This made me laugh lots. *hands over some sort of medal*

I've only heard one of the new ones. Does anyone know where I can get them from?

Then gets home and no one flinches when he can't feed his fam...

As many of you have already said, I like WIC the least of the 3 new songs. I still like it and I think it has potential, but if it ends up on #6 in its current form, I would be a little disapointed...well, not really disapointed, but not blown away as I have been with the past 5 studio albums. I absolutly love WTSOYF and NA is great as well.

These new songs are OK, except for Not Afraid, which I believe has the oppurtunity to be a classic.

You can HEAR the feeling in the song. I give up on OLP if it doesn't make the album in some form.

But of course, I am waiting for studio versions on Wipe and Walking to pass my final judgment, if we ever get them.

Not Afraid is one of their best songs to date, I think.

wouldn't it be great if none of the new songs ended up on the 6th album and its just 12 new never heard before songs? maybe thats why they're playing their new songs to death.
