So, I was listening to the radio today and the song 'wayne' by chantal kreviaskdjflaksjdg came on and the thought occured to me "what if 'wayne' were actually about raine but she had to change it so as not to make it too obvious. Is this possible? It's a fairly old song so I don't know if they were together back then. anyway, what d'yall think?

Wayne isn't about Raine...........I'm sure someone can back me up on this.

She wrote "before you" to Raine..............."ever since I met you on a cloudy monday, I can't believe how much I love the rain" :nod:

I still think it could be about the beginning of Raine and Chantal's relationship, and the whole 'Wayne, wait for me' is still about retaining innocence. Maybe (if it is about raine) she's saying that she needs time before the relationship gets really serious or something like that.

Raine was in the "special thanks" section of Under These Rocks and Stones, so they at least knew each other pretty well at that point...I don't know if they were "together" per se...

Chantal and Raine met at a Pearl Jam concert on September 21, 1996.

They married on December 19, 1999.
