Cool, I've seen them play the new Album's stuff 3 times so far. We had the first concert where they played some of the new songs for the first time back in January, however I still haven't had the chance to see 1000 mile wish or One thing live...

Thanks guys. Sorry to ask more questions - but does anyone who was at the Ottawa or Montreal shows with OLP remember what F11 played? I know they did Absent Elements and maybe Other Light and 1 or 2 others - but I can't remember which songs it was. Definitely no slow songs - I hope we get some of them
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

So I saw F11 live last night :D It was a great show. The crowd was really good, but pretty rough. We were front row at the right and it was a tiny little venue. Scott kept smiling all the time between songs, I think he was pretty happy with the reception!

Cos it was a promo thingamy for Sony it was mostly new songs. The setlist only had 9 songs on it (7 from F11 and then Above and First time) but then they came back for an encore of Quicksand (yay) and Drag You Down.

They played One Thing :D It was about the only song I could really hear Scott singing cos the sound wasn't very good :(

You know, Tip is probably one of the top ten cds i have.

Though this cd is better than TGOBS, it's not half as good as tip. I mean, i love thousand mile wish, but other than that, i am not too impressed. Last scene of struggling is probably the only other really good song on the cd.

Don't get me wrong, its a good cd, but compared to tip, it is garbage.

When I saw them supporting evanescence last night Amy Lee came out and sang One Thing with them which was really cool. I hope someone was recording it, though I doubt it :(

I dig "1 thing", that song rocks.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.
