Favorite "Sad or Depressed" OLP Song

Post by Flea21212 »

What is your favorite OLP song to listen to when you're feeling down and depressed?

Mine's the piano version of Julia, there's just something about it that I love.

We'll probably see lots of "Are You Sad?"

I would have to say either Are You Sad? (live version - cause the guitar solo at the end rocks my socks) or Thief.
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

haha there's so many... 4AM and Thief for sure. And Made of Steel, thats a good one. I love Clumsy but I dont really classify it as a depressing song. Thats one of those ones I listen to when I'm in a good mood :)

Waited makes me sad. It's not a sad song, but it really reminds me of a girlfriend I had and leaving her to go away to college and ultimately ruining my life.

if i want a good cry, i bring out the clumsy, if i want to feel better, julia. seriously, theres something magic about that song, no matter how i feel, i will be happy by the end, even if i felt like shooting myself when it started.

theres this list, somewhere, like yahoo or something, where it tells you what olp songs to listen to if you're in a certain mood, want a fast/slow song etc. i dont remember, i found it a long time ago and thought it was pretty weird.

Are You Sad, definitely once of the most well written OLp songs ever...

Gravity makes me want to cry, but that is a different kind of sad.

Anyways, for the songs, I would have to say Waited always hits me pretty hard.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

<p>And in my darkest moment, fetal and weeping. The moon tells me a secret. My confidant. As full and bright as I am, this light is not my own. A million light reflections pass over me. It's source is bright and endless. She resuscitates the hopeless. Without her we are lifeless satellites dreaming dreams. And as I pull my head out I am without one doubt. Don't want to be down here feeding my narcissism. I must crucify the ego before it's far too late. I pray the light lifts me out before I pine away.

I hope this is goodbye wrote:Gravity makes me want to cry, but that is a different kind of sad.

 I was waiting for someone to say that... As much as it doesn't make me want to cry, it takes me half-way there during many songs...
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.
