Ben Folds (Five)

Post by bovine »

I was just wondering if anyone here has the first (self-titled) cd from Ben Folds Five. I'm a huge fan and I don't know how I never got around to getting that one (maybe because I've never seen it in stores?). I have all of Ben Folds' other cds (BF5, Fear of Pop, and Ben Folds solo) so I'll have to buy this one online to complete the collection.

Also, just out of curiosity, what is your favorite Ben Folds cd (including BF5 FoP and BF solo). It's a hard choice, but I think I'd have to go with "Ben Folds Live" It's such a great mix of the BF5 stuff and Ben Folds' solo stuff.

Brutus is an honorable man
It's just coincidence that oil men will wage war in an oil rich land
And this one goes out to my man taking cover in the trenches with a gun in his hand
Then gets home and no one flinches when he can't feed his fam...

But Brutus is an honorable man...

If I see you there, I'll make sure to walk the other way.

And Not The Same is by far his best song. I love it.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I have lawn seats too. Isn't this special? Another chance for a CM gathering at Ben Folds, just like I met the two of you. OK, I am done with the reminiscing.
