Umm... I read that article. What do "all of NSync" know about songwriting? :wtf:

Every now and then I fall out into open air just to feel the wind, rain and everything.
And though the hum and sway gets me down
, I'll find the way to peace and openness.

I'm pretty sure Justin and JC were writing songs for nsync... I guess in the pop category they'd be able to be good judges

i can't write music to go along with my lyrics, so i doubt i'll enter....

apperently one of the things they judge on is originality, but i went and listened to last year's grand prize winner and they sounded like another nickelback ripoff

weirdly enough, i liked the winner for pop much better. those were the only two i listened to.

I'm totally gonna enter. conviniently my band will be finishing up a new demo right before the deadline, so we'll send that in.

***There is a "lyrics only" category, by the way.***

Just wondering...what is considered "good enough" for this contest? I want to enter but I don't know if my stuff is decent. Too bad Raine won't be reading the teen stuff.

I can not write songs very well, I once tried and it did not work. My brother will probably enter because he writes all the songs for his band and they are pretty good.

there is no wrong way to write. just write what you feel it doesnt matter if anyone likes it but chances are it is good and if not constructive criticism only helps

hahah it be funny if Raine turned out to be like Simon and bitched about everyones lyrics, then he would get in a fight with N Sync :P hahah.

but those weren't songs, they were poems...

and richele, you're stuff is definatly good enough. its better than mine by far. if you want to see what kind of stuff they're looking for, go to the site and listen to last year's winners.

Go to the "Songwriters: post your favourite song you've written HERE!"

I'm too lazy to link to it. :P
