What kind of machine is this?

Post by GravityHitz »

I was listening to 'lying awake' an i couldn't figure out what in hell raine's singing about in the line...

Running away from the breast of
Your busy giant healing machine

is it:

'busy giant' healing-machine?
busy, giant, healing, machine?
busy, giant, healing-machine?
busy, giant-healing machine?
a combination of those four?
none of them?

im confused :freak:
anyone know?

I'm pretty sure its "busy, giant healing-machine"

it means that the man he's singing about (Benny hinns (sp?) is making himself sound like he's a healer, when in fact he is just screwing with people's beliefs and minds.

i think it's "busy, giant, healing machine." Lol, i don't think the machine only heals giants, but is of rather large proportions. Hence, giant.

Yeah. It's a busy, large machine that heals. Though Lando's right, it's not an actual machine.

The machine is the "set up" the way the whole fake healing thing works. All the factors, like planting actors in the audience and a bajillion more which I'm too tired to think of...

Yeah. It's like the whole organization of Benny Hinn's "healing".

Just like a bakery could be called a "cookie machine", though it's not actually a machine. It's just an organization of people who together produce cookies.

he's an evangelist...
and Raine saw him on TV and wanted to write a song about whether or not while he was on his death bed did Hinns actually believed all the lies he was telling people.

yeah he once told people in Florida that god had talked to him and wanted him to do a thing at a big hockey rink... these people really believed him and there was supposed to be a hockey game that night and they canceled it for Benny Hinn to come in and do whatever.

Hinn. :heythere:

And you're just about right on. Except that he filled arenas with people who probably would have died for him if he asked for it. I saw him on TV last week. It was really scary how obsessed the people were. I mean, I could understand it if OLP were on stage. But some guy who pretends to heal people? Nope. :P
