no that was in fact Matt writing that comment. After he took over the creative control of the site on Sunday he wrote that message saying he was no longer going inder the name MG on the message board. He was still posting until that name until that point. He said that if anyone posts under that name in the future it is not him, and he wanted his fans to be warned. Simple as that.
As for the voice distortion, Rob mentioned how Raine hasn't used a distortioner since the SM tour which is correct. Listen to every bootleg from the gravity tour and the only thing you'll hear is an echo effect which is used at the exact same points during every concert. Whatever had never been distortioned throughout the entire tour but yet suddenly on the live cd Raine's voice has been altered significantly. Seems kinda odd that you'd only hear the distortioner for one song, considering during the SM tour he used it on at least 4 different ones.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

hey sean dude, yeah the new site...well its interesting....
when i first saw it i was pretty pissed, but then again i couldnt find his journals, the best part. and the original message board sucked. but there was improvments like within an hour and now i really like it. it has some really cool stuff, and i really like the artsy aspect to it. hey, do really get the freedom/not freedom thing? it just led me to some porn....
The point about the live album is this: it's a great recording and an entertaining album, but we've heard it all before in bootlegs and are sick of it. Frankly, i NEED some new olp.
man I'd hate to think what some of you guys would do if you liked a normal band that doesn't try and put out new material every year. Good thing the guys have been workaholics over the past 5 years...

Guys, the effects on the vocals in Whatever were probably added in the studio. That's not overdubbing, that's part of mixing. You can do some crazy stuff to anything after it's already been recorded.
Just be thankful they didn't put the Whatever speech on the album.
Anyway, I don't hear anything that sounds like overdubbing on Live. It was just recorded and mixed very very well. That's all.

I am. *points at sig* Actually, those bands release stuff even less than normal bands. It's like torture. *hugs OLP and their crazy work schedule*

Frankly, why do these 10 seconds on a 77 minute CD have such a significance to you? So what if that didn't happen when they actually recorded it?
Sometimes I think some people just desperately search for something wrong, and it's very, very sad. But, whatever....
