Holy jebus, I just downloaded and finished the Freelancer demo. My god, this is the most excellently crafted game on the pc I have ever seen. One of the things that really shocked me was that not only were the graphics some of the best I have seen on the pc, but also that it was stable enough to run with barely a hitch set on the highest performence settings on my ol 450 mhz. The whole experience is frickin awesome.
So here's my question: the demo included the first story mission and most of the battles I've had are basically the same thing. Is the rest of the game like that or was the demo just giving me a little taste and some of the battles are really hard/creative? Also, tell me the things you liked msot about the game.
Sweet! I just played through Blue Shift for the first time, good fun. Unfortunately Half-Life 2 won't be out for a while, and yes, those are amazing boxes.
Edit: Whoops, turns out Sept 30, isnt actually that far away! But man, this game will be well worth the wait.

as am I. my best friend and I. he's got a 2GHz P4, surround sound, and access to a sony projector. we figure we buy it, set up a small bunker with said 'puter, speakers, and projector and play it in shifts to completion. oh, and a mini-fridge stuffed with caffeineated beverages and machine gun to prevent anyone from trying to end our play.
Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!
