the reason behind the OLP - SP feud was ppl from SP were saying OLP ripped off a song of theirs... I believe it's called Blow Away. It sounds a lot like Are You sad (the guitar). They are somewhat similar but i think it may be just a coincidence.

Anti-Bush song..thank god.. it'll be better if it causes more attention people should know how horrible bush is and what he does without ppl knowing it. I dont want to rant about Bush to any of you..cause frankly i dont want to offend anyone. All i have to say is that Bush isnt what he seems and that i suggest you all read 'Stupid White Men' by Michael Moore and do as much research as possible on Bush and his buddies in the govt.

Yeah because an OLP song is gonna show people how "evil" Bush is...... The first person I hear say "OMG hes evil" after listening to a song I'm gonna smack with a dead Octopus. Second anyone that listens to Michael Moore isn't thinking straight. That guy is a complete headcase. Moore just likes to stir things up and nothing more. He spits more lies than "G-Dub" ever thought about.

we have an entire section devoted to that... lets keep these threads about OLP... not Michael Moore.

I don't think that's it. That was after Summersault and i'm pretty sure OLP and SP had made up.

I think it was in 98 when SP did an Intimate and Interactive at Much when the whole thing started. Somebody asked what SP thought of Canadian Music and Billy Corgan said something to the extent of: "We'd like to thank Our Lady Peace for remaking our old music"

I remember during the Clumsy days OLP were accused of being a 2nd rate Smashing Pumpkins... although i still don't see it.

That's why people were kind of shocked to see OLP ask SP to come on Summersault.. that's how i remember it anyway

hmm... well maybe the thing about the songs was more of an SP fans thing... cause I know a lot of pumpkins fans who thought OLP ripped off that song and that's why they were mad...

either way it works

that would actually be really cool. i see them going in a new direction, and thats definatly a direction i would like, more politically motivated. they've never really gone there before and i think it would be a good change.

hey sean, (yeah i knew your name way before richele, i just wasnt sure if you'd mind :P) ARE you coming to s13? you never told us what you had decided...

I'd like Raine to have political songs too. Lots of ones directed at the US government (sorry American OLP fans).

BTW, I'm Richele....Yannic posted my name and I figure that no one knows who Richele is. It's me. *bows*

political songs would be good..they would definitely make for some interesting lyrics..i wouldn't want a whole album just with political songs, but a good number would be cool..

oh and SOAD is awesome
