Eels
Anyone listen to this group? I had someone bring in an I-book that had a bunch of good music on it and I stumbled upon Eels....... I love this group, I have only listened to their cd Beautiful Freak so far, but I have 3 others..... All I have to say is this is some good stuff.... So good, their has to be others who like them.. Anyone?
What I felt before was wrong, I told myself all along, these familiar feelings take away the pain. And with this reason to rebel, I told you how I felt, you turned and sighed and said you couldn't feel a thing for me. And I lost another wish in all of this.

I think I'm right, but feel free to call me on this:
Abandoned Pools isn't the project of the Eel's lead singer. The lead singer of AP used to play bass with the Eels, but left after an album or two. Whether or not this is an especially sensitive issue between the two and their respective fanbases, I'm unsure, but I figured I'd correct you anyway.
Unless there's something really big I missed.
And that is entirelly possible.
And if that was a joke post, do feel free to injure me via internet.
(I haven't been here in a long time.
)
(also, I like AP more, but I found them first. Somewhere in my room is a copy of "Daisies of the Glaxay" but I'm not sure if I actually ever listened to it.)

I'm a fan of the Eels! I have Beautiful Freak and Electro-Shock Blues as well as a bootleg with some rareities. I really love both albums...if I had to choose, I'd say I like E-S B the best, but like I said, I love them both...

Brutus is an honorable man
It's just coincidence that oil men will wage war in an oil rich land
And this one goes out to my man taking cover in the trenches with a gun in his hand
Then gets home and no one flinches when he can't feed his fam...
But Brutus is an honorable man...

Eels rock. I saw them a couple of weeks ago and they were remarkable happy, I like the depressed Eels better, but it was still good, thye played most of my favorite songs, like 3 Speed, Last Stop This Town and My Beloved Monster. They played four encores, one of them I missed because they'd already played three, the lights went on and everyone started leaving, but apparantly they came back one more time.
