I'd say it'll be about half-and-half. I started listening to OLP because I hear Gravity, but I like their older work a LOT more. I personally would kill myself before making Bush president if it were my choice.

Phony election? It's been that way since the country was founded, chief. You win the electoral vote, you win the election.

1876 - Rutherford B Hayes over Samuel Tilden while still losing the popular vote
2000 - Bush over Gore... same circumstances

I would say employing legal action to stop a recount in Florida that looked likely to swing the electoral vote constitutes a certain degree of phoniness.

Call me a traditionalist, but I like elections with clear cut margins of victory and leaders with a maximum of integrity in power. But like I said, call me old-fashioned.

Also how about saying this war was about "Weapons of mass destruction" and then switching the cause to "Iraqi Freedom" mid-stream? Oh and then denying it was about oil or money and giving over 3 billion to Haliburton subsidiaries? I'd call that phony.

just read Stupid White Men for more information about the election. No need to dispute this in an OLP thread.

I think some people will be turned off by a politically motivated album, but it's hard to say and it depends on the depth of the lyrics. Obviously if Raine says Bushy boy's an idiot straight out in a song then he may get some bad feedback but if people don't realize what he's talking about then they should be fine

Oh yes as well, Raine and Matt Good could never be presidents, neither are over 35 years old and neither are American...

hmmmmm maybe Matt and Raines simmilar ideals and beliefs can disolve the current tension between the 2, matt is alot happier and less likely to strike out now a days, with his new wife, and amount of time spent ranting about other subjects.

i could see raine and matt cooperating. remember how there was that whole 'rivalry' between olp and the smashing pumkins, and then the pumkins headlines summersault. sure matt good did say some crappy stuff about olp, but I think raine and matt agree on many more important issues and for the sake of those causes would be able to put their differences aside if needed.

nope h9is b-day was Sunday, he turned 32. As for duel-citizenship, he does have relatives in the states but I don't think he has both citizenships, at least from what I've read, and seen pertaining to interviews and such...
