It can't be. An album is a huge part of an "artist's" career. No one would spend that much time and money on a parody.

In an interview, she said the video for that song is taking a stab at pop-culture.

yeah.. but that's the nike,7up,etc thing. Not the getting drenched by a firehose thing. And there is no excuse for the song titles.

I mean, come on. U & Me = Love?

Did she rip that off from 2Ge+her?

I know my calculus, it says U + Me = Us, calculus.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I really don't understand what happened to her. I've never been a big fan of hers but I respected her a lot. She's really talented. I remember watching a interview when her last album came out and she said that she had quit the music business for 2 years cause she didn't want to have to change who she was and basically turn into what she's become now. It's really sad to see actual talented people do that to them selves.

I really hope you are right. I really liked her old stuff a lot. This....it has to be a joke....has to be....I don't think she could be that desprate as to sell out that much....

i can't believe that someone would just sell-out so obviously. usually when an artist sells out it's kind of a gradual thing.

1. Stand
2. Run 2 U
3. Intuition
4. Leave The Lights On
5. To Find You
6. Fragile Heart
7. Doin' Fine
8. 2 Become 1
9. Haunted
10. Sweet Temptation
11. Yes U Can
12. U & Me = Love
13. America
14. Becoming

I think I'm going to puke... my question is why does she sometimes use "U" and sometimes she uses "you"??? And I thought 2 Become 1 was a Spice Girls song...

I haven't seen the video yet, but from what I've head and read on here makes me really sad. I have one of Jewel's albums (it has that "these hands, they are my own" song on it) and I always thought she was respectable and wouldn't lower her standards just to bring in the cash...

It's not really her we should be blaming. It's the stupid music industry. Look at all the artists who have sold themselves: T.A.T.U, Christina Agulera, all the hip hop people...it's actually quite sick if you think about it. Shouldn't music be about the music and not the money or popularity? It's sad that such a beautiful and marvelous thing like music has been polluted with such issues.

I hope that made sense. If it didn't just slap me a couple of times. :freak:

t.A.T.u. used to be not sold out?? seriously, I think the whole lesbian thing is a publicity stunt. it's an artists choice whether or not they want to sell out, I think Jewel would've been successful even if she didn't.

Apparently TATU signed contracts forcing them to act like lesbians and not allowing them to have boyfriends. furthermore, they signed these contracts only because they were only losely translated from english to russian and they didn't completely understand them.

the video for Intuition was done to mock pop culture........although I'm not too sure about the album.

She does come off slutty in that video.....but if you've seen her on public appearances lately, she's lookin pretty great I think.

I was sick of her "I'm a cowgirl" look anyways.....

I have that magazine. There's only two pictures of her in it, which is a shaft.
