Jewel

Post by Axtech »

What the hell happened to Jewel? She used to be this awesome tallented folk-rock chick. Now (judging by her newest song and video), she's just as airheaded and slutty as the rest of the female pop scene. Why? She was awesome before. I didn't listen to her music, but if it was on I'd enjoy hearing it. And I respected her. What the hell happened?

At first I thought the video was just like a joke at the start. You know, a little stab at pop culture. But the whole video was the same. Just her in different outfits, dancing like a slut.

Yay. Thank god I'm not the only one that noticed. When I saw the vid I was like...this is Jewel?!?! It made me lose what respect I had for her. I liked her older stuff waaaaay better.

Yeah i saw her in May at the concert i went to for Robbie..She was kind of dressed shanky. I think she just thinks she needs to dress that way and turn to pop to be successful

You would think that someone who made as much money as her could afford to fix her teeth.

I think her wacky teeth adds something to her. She was still hotter in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt though, but having her breasts heave out of her shirt is a plus.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

I never really liked Jewel. She just bugs me because I heard somewhere that her father was like the president of ABC or something and then she talked about how good it was going from living in a van to winning a grammy. There's a difference between having to live in a van, than just living in a van on your own free will. That just bugged me.

Oh, I prefer smaller-breasted women, but if you turn on the tv and you see a woman with boobs pooping out of her shirt, you take notice and you tend to like it.

the song titles on her new cd are hilarious

like u + me = love or some shit
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.
