Living in Kingston, I've seen the Hip, Doug Gilmour, Don Cherry, and Dan Ackroyd many times (my mom taught ackroyd's kids piano). I've also seen many hockey players/rockstars while living there (Eric Lindros, Kirk Muller, etc) as well as hung up with the guys from 54-40, IME, etc.

My sister and brother went to school and played in the stage band with John Popper (now famous harmonica player of the world who is in Blues Traveller, and has played with the David Letterman band, and many bands on tours/blues brothers movies).

My good friend from HS was the first cousin of the lead singer of the Philosopher Kings and I knew the guys who did Prozzac (the original band).

Also, on a trip to LA I got to have drinks and talk to Drew Carey and Ryan Stiles for about an hour after seeing the cast of the Drew Carey show do Improv (before who's line) so I met the entire cast. I also saw a taping of ER and had to 'hang out' for a bit saying I was a rookie Grip (teehehe) as well as litterally bumping to Melissa Joan Hart (my crush back then) aka Sabrina the Teenage Witch/Clarrisa.

Being an amateur Standup comic, I've come to get to know now famous comedians - Colin Macery, Jason Rouse, Tracey MacDonald, Mike McDonald, Ronnie, Glen Foster, etc It helps when all your friends work at YukYuks

yah.. sorry i dont konw anyone famous.

Actually Steve Tyler is from Yonkers originally. His dad taught at one of the high schools there. His name was Telerico then. I think he moved up to Massachusette shortly after High School.

Living in Kingston, my dad knows/knew Paul of the Hip. Gilmour's brother lives up the street from me, and I've met Doug. His brother's family is the kind who's lawn is covered in toys and garbage, who's Christmas decorations are almost always up, and who parks their jeep on their lawn. :freak: Oh, and I caddied at a golf tourney once, and the Gilmour brothers got drunk and tried to run me over with their golf cart. :freak:
