Kazaa vs Internet Explorer, will they ever get along?

Post by Axtech »

Okay, here's my problem right now. And don't just tell me to stop using Kazaa. Other than this little problem, it works fine for me.

For some reason when I have Kazaa open, I can't type in IE6. I can click on links and whatnot, but when I try to type in the address bar or anywhere on any websites, IE has an error and shuts down. I have the same problem in any windows program, including simply trying to rename icons or files in "windows explorer".

Does anyone else have this problem? More importantly, does anyone have a solution (other than getting something other than Kazaa :P )?

Kazaa sucks up memory like hell. I never have the typing problem, I just run out of resources before I can do anything about it.

winmx blows.. most of the items that come up from your search don't exist.

Try using the browser built into KaZaa.

Unfortunately that just opens a new window after I click on one of the search results (you can only search for websites, there's no address bar).

If you have normal Kazaa, I strongly recommend Lite instead.

Is there any difference search-wise? Does it search the same database (or the same users)?

I just downloaded it. AND I'M TYPING WITH IT OPEN! Woo-hoo!

That was a pain re-rating all of my files. But it was worth it. I like the "auto search more" feature. I always search more, so why not?

Is there any downside to Kazaa Lite?
