mp3 editing programs

anyone know of any free programs that will allow me to edit a mp3 file (i need to cut down the song to make it shorter)?

I use Nero Sound Editor... it works pretty good, I enjoy it
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

I like that one (Audacity)...It also has a bunch of effects you can put on the file such as echo, fade in/out, noise removal, and (my personal favorite) "reverse" :mrgreen:

yeah i dled audacity. haven't quite figured out how to use it yet though. :oops:

but it's ok now since i don't think i need the program so desperately now.

Theres a program called Mp3Trim that is just for that purpose and is really easy to use. Other than that, I use Goldwave for editing.
