I don't see what the big deal is. Led Zeppelin's first two albums were released just 10 months apart, and they released a double album in February 1975, then another album in March 1976 and a movie and live double album also in 1976. I don't have a problem with bands releasing CD's until they are the same recordings being reused on a "best of" CD.

One? I'll give you several.
1. Better sound quality than bootlegs
2. Nobody has to argue over the legality of it (like w/ bootlegs)
3. You can be sure it wasn't mp3 sourced (compressed)
4. People love OLP live & want more than mp3s burned to a cd-r
5. I doubt the new album will be out in 6 months (they said by the end of the year...that's 7 1/2 months away...plus, I'd be surprised if they actually make that deadline that they've set)
6. To make money...sure you can argue that OLP doesn't need more money or that the record companies are going to make a huge chunk...in fact, I'd agree with you if you made those arguements...but if an album isn't going to make money, it won't be released (at least not professionally), so that is a reason
7. To annoy you

It's just coincidence that oil men will wage war in an oil rich land
And this one goes out to my man taking cover in the trenches with a gun in his hand
Then gets home and no one flinches when he can't feed his fam...
But Brutus is an honorable man...

what crazy intro would this be? The only cool intro I remember was Raine's little "rap-type thing" during the SM tour... and why the hell would Steve copy Mike anyways?
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

The version of Naveed/Life I downloaded started off with the naveed bass and drums, and then came in a crazy guitar intro that continued for a while, before Raine started singing "come come naveed."
There was no "rap" neither was there the "scratchy voice microphone"... so could anyone tell me if it was performed by Mike or Steve?
