What do you think of this setlist?

Post by Fabio_kun »

Well, as I posted in the OLP Trading area, I'm making my own Live OLP CD, and I took some time to search for good quality versions of songs to put it into a decent double live album by them. And I know a live album is already coming out, but I wanted to make my own, with Mike in guitars and stuff :p

So here's the setlist I got so far... notice though that there's still time to make some changes, but I think it looks quite balance so far.
All I gotta do now is edit a couple more songs from disc 2 and then make a cover for it :)

DISC 1:
01 - Middle Of Yesterday
02 - Right Behind You
03 - Automatic Flowers
04 - The Birdman
05 - Are You Sad?
06 - Waited
07 - Hello Oskar
08 - Everyone's A Junkie
09 - One Man Army
10 - Whatever
11 - Hope
12 - Blister
13 - Car Crash

DISC 2:
01 - Is Anybody Home?
02 - Dirty Walls
03 - If You Believe
04 - Carnival
05 - Shaking
06 - Happiness & The Fish
07 - Let You Down
08 - Denied
09 - 4 AM
10 - Life
11 - Naveed
12 - Clumsy
13 - Starseed

So, what do you think? Feel free to add comments.
And I know there are tons of songs missing, but I just couldn't put all of them...

And if anyone's willing to help with artwork for it, contact me :)
And if anyone would like to have the MP3s from what I'm going to make into a CD, also let me know... then I'll share them with you all :)

Cheers.

I like your setlist a lot... It has great picks from each OLP era..... But there is one song that is missing..... IN REPAIR  ... I love that song.... But that is just the opinion of one guy :freak: ... Anyways I think th songs on your setlist would make an amazing 2 disc live album.
What I felt before was wrong, I told myself all along, these familiar feelings take away the pain. And with this reason to rebel, I told you how I felt, you turned and sighed and said you couldn't feel a thing for me. And I lost another wish in all of this.

Must be hard choosing songs like that.

It's pretty darn good though!

In Repair would be a good choice.

Although i'm pretty sure leaving out Superman's Dead has to be some sort of criminal offense....

Yeah, and on disc 2, you have 5 singles in a row. If I were you, I would break them up a bit.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

Hm... nice comments guys :) Thanks.

About IN REPAIR... I tried looking for a decent audio quality of it at the HUB, but unfortunately there isn't any, so I'm not putting it in the CD, eventhough I wanted to.

About Superman's Dead... well yes, I know what you mean, but I'm a bit fed up with this song... so I'm prolly not puting it there... :p But still, I could :)

About Stealing Babies... I found *ONE* good audio version of it, it's from that Jam Des Neiges performance, but Raine's mike dies in the middle of tune, and *I* think he's not singing well in that evening... and the audio is that great, specially compared to the audio of the tunes I'm putting in the CD, so I'm not adding Stealing Babies, eventhough I like it A LOT, I wish I could put it...

And about having 5 singles in a row... hm... you're right... maybe I should break it up a bit, I thought it would be a blasting ending to the CD :p
But well said :)

Keep adding thought and comments guys :)
And as I said, if anyone want's to have it afterwards, I'll share it :)

Cheers.

A while back when Al put up "OLP:The Singles" album, they had an AWESOME version of Superman's Dead.. From what I heard it sounded like a studio version before they edited it since it was so clear and there was no audience. Man, that live performance was extremely close to matching the album version.

I recall "In Repair" from that CD actually being quite good, very clear and all. It's just I don't know where to find them again!

In Repair from Detroit 09/18/2002 is a pretty good version
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

I don't think I'll be able to check those songs out now, since I already started working on an artwork for the CD and I've already added the tracklist to it :)

I'll see if I can show it later :) But still, I'm gonna check those out, specially this SINGLES CD :)

Cheers.

Well... as *I* don't like Gravity that much, I decided to include songs from their previous albuns :)

And yes yes yes... damn, I wish I could add In Repair but I can't
And Superman's Dead... Hm... *thinks I don't know...

I'm already working on a cover for it... got some stuff ready :) I'll post it later :)

Cheers.

Was it the acoustic version from the Clumsy single? Cos that sounds exactly like what you're talking about. Tis very very good.
