The Pettit Project. I went to their concert on Saturday and I like them that much more now that I've heard them live. They kick ass. They were mentioned on MUCH for a band to look out for in 2003. Some good songs are: 99 Lives, Pretty Girls Make Me Nervous and Guess I gotta guess. Highly suggest u check em out.

Guy: Her locker's down the hall, I've counted 17 from mine.
Girl: Does he see me? Does he even know that I'm close by?
Guy: We're in the hallway, always at half past nine.
Girl: Would he ever get to know me? Would he take the time?
[glow=brown]...Back in school they never taught us what we needed to know like how to deal with despair or someone breaking your heart...[/glow]

What kind of music are they? I've heard of them, but only because my friend's last name is Pettit and we thought it was funny.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
I can't believe anyone's heard of these guys! I've seen them 3 times since February, and everytime I see them I fall a little more in love with their music. Their sound is fun power pop, sort of similar to Weezer/Ozma. The main songwriter/singer of the band used to play bass for left Pencey. Coincidentally, The Pettit Project shares a manager with Walkers Line who also contains a few former left Pencey members. Pettit and Walkers invariably end up doing gigs together all the time. I highly recommend checking them out!
