New Tour Dates

Post by bovine »

What do you all think about the tour dates with 3 Doors Down? Do you think OLP will be co-headlining or opening? My initial thought was that it would be co-headlining, but then again, the opened for Avril and she only has one album whereas 3DD has 2 and I've also heard much more 3DD on the radio (namely stuff from their first album) than I've heard Avril. If OLP is opening (probably just playing 6-7 songs or so) I'd rather if they didn't come to Philly at all until they are going to headline. Don't get me wrong, I'd still be the first in line for tickets either way, but I'd probably end up spending more for 6-7 songs than I would for a full (headlining) set  Also, does anyone know the type of venues they're playing...like I can't imagine it being a stadium-type thing. I saw 3DD once (at a festival) and, while they did put on a good performance, I'd never pay to go to one of their shows if there wasn't a band like OLP playing!

The only reason they opened for Avril was because it was overseas and she's more well known there than OLP .. I think 3 Doors Down will be the opening band .. but that's just my guess

Pfft .. only American tour dates

No Detroit show. Oh well.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

they've only announced a few shows... they aren't going to announce their entire tour as they probably don't have much booked beyond that point... they'll hit the major spots eventually

From what I was told, they are only doing a few shows with 3 doors down. I think it is mostly west coast shows.

as of now there are only 4 dates for OLP this summer. and those are in Canada. they will be doing an AMerican tour in the summer. Probably around July and August. they are recording the new cd in afew weeks then will go on the road.

Why the hell would they play in Timmons? I mean .. do people even live in Timmons?

Then Walkerton is out in the middle of nowhere too .. they're really making us Canadians work hard if we want to see them.

I'd go to Walkerton but the price is too much... I might go to Cleveland though and take a bus or something if they don't come to Buffalo or Rochester, and just stay at a hotel or something

I find it kind of strange that olp would play a show with 3DD at all considering their political differences. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if olp was the headliner, I think they've probably been in the spotlight more that 3DD has of late.

Yeah .. 3DD are for the war and are pricks about it .. OLP, or Raine at least, is against it. In this month's article of Chart a bunch of people wrote in saying how much they loved and enjoyed the article Raine wrote about Iraq .. positive feedback is good. :)

ya I'm sorry but 3DD are a bunch of hicks... having heard them speak and discuss their views they're just a bunch of rednecks...
