Does anybody else think Raine isn't that good live?

i think he has good days and bad days, and he doesn't seem to "warm-up" that much, because you notice he gets better as the show progresses, which is why most TV recordings sound shitty, it's his first song sand his voice is still cold and stiff. I saw him in Winnipeg this year and i can honestly say he was great (besides "All for you" which was first) and it's not just bias cause my friend who never really knew them loved it and became a fan

I think raine and the whole band are awesome live.....I have never seen a better live performance than an OLP performance....and i saw matt good 2 weeks ago....hes okay, but they jam way more than he even sings. Raine RULES!!!!
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

i absolutely LOVE raines voice live..and i honestly prefer how you have two different songs...cause theres always different things added...plus a song sung live is how its suppposed to be heard anyways..olp kicks arse live...

i saw matt good a few weeks ago..also amazing live..his voice is identical to the album..truely amazing voice :D

that depends on the show really heh
i mean
for the first dayton show.. (this is of course steve's first show with the band and all too so that has to be taken into consideration) they soundchecked for some 5 hours (mostly SOT) and his voice was amazing that night.. cept for MoS which steve was off and raine was off.. other than that.. the show was great.. but thats true for any singer tho.. they need to warm up the voice..

as for tv performances.. if its something he has time to warm up for then he'll do well.. theyre also set up sound wise for the audience and not tv (usually)

i do think he's great live.. especially certain songs.. wonderful future, in repair, are you sad?, birdman and naveed.. to name a few are just great live
go fuck yourself.

Raine live... well, he might not hit all the notes, he might scream a bit too much, he might molest Steve more than is good for a supposedly heterosexual man, he may not be able to recreate those studio effects to a perfect degree... but the energy, and the sweat, and the power, and when he looks and points straight at you... DAMN. That's good shit, it is.

okay, thanks. But is this AA a real person or not. I thought I missed something there..

I know this was posted in another thread but I will answer it here. I spoke with Mr Maida after the JUNO Awards. He was asking me and the person with me how we liked the song (Not Afraid) and was telling us how excited he was to get back in the studio. He then told me I had to come out to some of the shows because they were going to be good. I think he was really excited to have the new stuff be heard on the road. he also told me they were doing some shows with 3Doors Down and it was going to be just the 4 of them again. I didn't ask for how long, or really why. It was just really funny how he was asking me to come out to the shows in the summer.

I will say this though. If they really do want to get back to the Naveed era then you have to remember it was only Bass, Drum. Lead and Vocal. there wasn't anything extra really. i think they are experimenting with just playing as a Rock Band now. That is my opinion, not anything concrete.

hope that clears up things. I can't really say anything besides that because that was the only thing He said on the matter. He didn't go into detail about why.

It's just some insanity that they thought up.

Either there's an Andrew Antoine out there, or they misspelled Andrew Antone.

Seriously, they're on crack.

Ok, back to the Live thing... I LOVE olp live. Not only does he flex his voice around to give different notes to different parts of the songs but I love it when they do somehting like play naveed/life. Conserts only add to the OLP experience.
