The 'best of' cd better have some b-sides or live tracks or something and not just recycled songs from the other albums. The dvd I'm looking forward to. What I really can't wait for is the 6th cd  Unfortunatly, that will probably be the one to be pushed back out of the 3. Then they could get some hits from that album and copy and paste them to the 'best of'

I dont expect a live cd and/or a best of cd I put 50% on the DVD coming out by December. I think people should confirm news with the band themselves. The only reason they would put out the live and best of cd is to end their contract with Sony then they are free!!!!! So hopefully that is their plan

Fuck, Sony's really milking OLP. A "Best of..." CD? No one needs a best of CD anymore, what with mp3s to download and all.

Oh well, I'll probably still buy it. *shrug*

Well then their deal with Sony is over. Raine said they had one more album to put out on Sony besides the live cd I believe. So hopefully the new album will be released independently next year.

I hope they're done with Sony. Raine has his own label, for cripes sake!

ya then we'd see them with full freedom. No one tugging at them to record hit singles to sell more records.

I wonder if they'd stick with Rock? Perhaps Sony's told them to go with Rock for now, and "You'd better pretend to like it, damnit!". You never know...

And by "Rock" I meant the Bob, not the genre.

OLP's jumping to new age, it'll be 45 minute albums or nonsense

there will be whole songs devoted to Raine's dog, birdman melestations and Jer and Duncan playing gongs while Steve and Raine chant weird messages around a campfire resulting in a "GONG" "POP" "Two shirts for $20" "GONG" "POP" "My eye is in my head"...

man I think I'm losing it...

no, on olp.cc it still says June 30 for the live cd. Also, from what I understand they would need the live cd and best of to break their contract with Sony. Now I'll check back to this thread for the same responce from neilson7

Ew. We don't need a Best Of..., besides, CDs are only 80 minutes. How much goodness can you possibly pack into 80minutes????????

I think that the Best of should be a 2cd set and should consist of all the singles on one cd and rare live and unreleased studio versions of b-sides like trapeze and ordinary.
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?
