as for the whole song thing, you're either ignorant or cocky. it ain't easy.
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

about good charlotte: it's just bad music

trite lyrics that i've heard a million times before and nothing unique in the music either

That's fine Alan .. but don't lump all GC fans into one category .. I'm not like them. At all. I don't try to be 'punk' and I had fun making fun of all the wannabe's there. Yes I'm the proud owner of a GC hoodie and I can go on and on about why I like GC .. and in your eyes I guess that makes me pretty lame but I just don't like being lumped into this shit category cuz you don't like their music.

Lyrics are only as good as the person reading/hearing them wants them to be. You can tear apart every song out there, no matter how good or crappy, you can also find beautiful lyrics in what people might think are crap. It's in the eye of the beholder and as long as people enjoy the lyrics and you get emotion from them they can be deemed good.

Where did I specifically say that Joey likes Good Charlotte, therefore, she must be a poser that wears the spikey jewelry and treats everyone like shit? Quote that one for me, because I would love to read it.

I don't give a shit if you like the music or not, that's your choice. I may not agree with the music you listen to, and I may not find it the least bit interesting at all, but go ahead and listen to it.

I wanted to point out how I don't like the TRL punk fans that try to ruin the music I love, ok?
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

You didn't come out and insult me directly .. but you said you've never met a GC fan that wasn't like that .. yes you haven't met me .. but I hope to god I don't sound like someone like that. So I took offense to that.

You get upset when anything negative is said about Alkaline Trio .. well I'm reacting the same way .. obviously I shouldn't take it so personally but it's one thing to say you don't like a band and then another thing to go off and talk shit about 'assclowns' and the fact that the one guy HAD spikey hair and all they care about is money when that's not the case at all.

I don't insult him .. I've never insulted him .. I've said I don't like him .. yes, and I've left it at that .. I've never ONCE gone into a MATT GOOD thread to outright bash him .. no, I stay out of the threads because I don't like him .. I don't keep going into his threads to piss off the people who do like him .. cuz I have respect for the people who do like him .. sorry, to disappoint you.

There's a big difference between saying "yeah I don't like him" and putting him on a pretend CM hit list to outright bashing him in threads about him or his concerts .. think about that now.

i know they have written many other songs, but when someone that is rich and famous writes a song complaining about rich and famous people complaining, you can't expect me not to laugh at that.

Joey, I am sorry. I just don't like Good Charlotte. It's that simple. They took punk music and made it an image for 13 year old girls to dress as and gave them to be on year long PMS. I haven't met a single Good Charlotte that doesn't dress the whole Hot Topic spike wearing image, while wearing the GC shirt and acting like a dick.

I suppose if they didn't try to act so punk, then their music would be bearable. But they took something that I truly loved, and took the crowd that I fit into, and made it soft and cozy so I can be surrounded at concerts by girls just getting on their periods and guys starting to grow pubes. See, it's not purely the music, there's a whole system of why I despise Good Charlotte and New Found Glory.

You shouldn't pass judgment on GC's and NFG's fan so quickly. I am a GC fan and I do not follow the AS YOU CALL IT "Hot Topic spike wearing image". And I am sure many other fans arent like that either. No matter what band that is in the spotlight.....there are always gonna be the teeny bopper fans, but don't disclude the real fans who actual care about the music!!! I just went to a GC concert and yes, there were some younger "13 year old girls" but there were WAYYY more older people who weren't dressing just to fit in with their image. And what does it really matter how GC dress? Maybe they like dressing that way. How do you know that they aren't punk? Have you actually talked, or spent time with the guys.... Like DEFINE punk............
And as some have said before......not everyone has to like every band out there obviously, but don't bash their fans for liking them cuz everyone has their own tastes.

Hey jackass, way to beat a dead horse! When no one responds to a fight, how about you keep it that way? No, you go ahead and decide to remark to something that died, just to get things riled up again. Here we go.

Let's start off with this. I encounter a lot of Good Charlotte fans. When I go to a public place, and see people wearing Good Charlotte shirts, they are of the PRE-TEEN variety, with their hair died black and some guys trying to spike it up like the oh so hott Benji. And when I walk by them, they harass people, it's that simple. They act out like jackasses and insult people, therefore, you can't deny my opinion, because what I encounter IS THE FUCKING TRUTH.

OK, now we move on from the girls starting to bleed onto the older fans. These are the frat boys around my college and my friends' colleges with their backwards hats thinking they're cool because they listen to Good Charlotte. I can't honestly think they like Good Charlotte, seeing that the only times I see fraternity boys, they're drunk.

And one more thing, way to try and "get" me with that closing comment. Last time I checked, I apologized for voicing my opinion so harshly, but you need to go ahead and bring that back up. So congratulations, you're a moron. Don't talk to me.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
