a question to you guitar-playing folk: what is the easiest olp song to play, and where can i find really somple tabs?

tabs on the internet just confuse me, they're nothing like what i usually play.

Ummm Most OLP songs require a band to sound the best(you can play however you want). In Repair is a good one so is Clumsy,Somewhere Out There, Stealing Babies. It depends. I personally like playing Stealing Babies and Clumsy the most.

I play guitar, I've got a fender squire. Some good sites for tabs are:

'Guitare Tab'

its my fav one for getting tabs!

OK, I might sound dumb, but this has been bothering for me for a while. What does it mean to tune down half a step, and if I were to, how would I go about it? Don't say turn the keys at the top of the guitar, because I will kill you.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Turn the keys at the top of the guitar!

Ba-dum-ching!

Anyways...

Tune down all the strings a half step lower, so they are all the corresponding flat notes.

E string becomes Eb, A becomes Ab, D becomes Db, etc.

It's best to use a tuner to do this. If you don't have one, you'll have to find (for example) an Eb to tune the E string down, an Ab to turn the A string down, etc.

I hope that helps!

TabCrawler's awesome because it's like a search engine for tabs.

How do I know when it's at like Eb?

Well, if you don't have a chromatic tuner, you'd have to hit an Eb note (such as A-string, fret 6), then tune like you normally would from there.

Thats a real good site. I go there to study theory.

its a pretty good site but

http://www.musictheory.net

is the absolute ultimate in online theory study  go slowly though, i got really lost after the first 10 or 12 lessons. it also has trainers such as aural interval recognition and stuff like that

4am is pretty easy i suppose but the easiest song i know how to play is coldplay's "rush of blood to the head" which is basically Am, C, and Em (the verses)

A good song to start out with, I think, would be - Load Me Up-Matthew Good Band
