Yeah, but what about 5 or 6 a year?? It's usually the same setlist and same antics on stage then...

Oh yeah and I agree, that would be cool if they changed one or a few songs up every different place... It would make it interesting!!

I do agree that they should change up their setlist and maybe play a few
different songs, but I do like the songs that they play.
If they were going to change songs I thinks they still need to play Naveed and 4am.

i've been to a whopping one concert (saskatchewan tends to get skipped over. a lot.)....but. i do know that i would be super disappoined to hear the same songs again. i'm going to see them when they come back to sask in july....and if they're still playing the same setlist, it'll really suck. being such a large fan, i want the oppurtunity to hear the largest assortment of songs live as possible. and some of the live songs in the set aren't that strong...if they played more off naveed (i'd kill to hear denied) and some of the non singles and not so popular ones off the other cds, it would definitely be awesome.
i hate to say this, but it seems like they're trying to only play the songs that everyone'll know, true fan or not. i definitely think that the set list should change, and include the lesser played songs.

Hey OLP doesn't ever skip us over actually. They played in Saskatchewan, in Saskatoon last August at the exhibition, they also played in Toronto with Treble Charger for some Store opening thing. So they didn't play in Saskatchewan or Toronto on the Trailer Park tour. However, Seether and Finger Eleven came to Regina on the day off between Calgary and Winnipeg, and in Winnipeg OLP played basically the same setlist as they did in august with the exception of 3 songs.

So now, we get OLP back in July, so we're really getting more than the rest of the country did... However this time, I know for sure we'll get a bunch of new stuff, because they already started playing new stuff in europe!

Guys, it's kinda like asking the actors in a musical to switch up the scenes a little bit and every so often throw in a scene they usually don't do or remove a scene that isn't as good.

This is what they practiced, this is what they are ready to do. It's not all that easy to change up the script so to speak. More than just OLP are involved in what goes on. You got sound, lighting, instrument changes, placement... it's like a show.

you have a major point there. and with the sask getting skipped over, i meant other bands too...definitely should have clarified that more. we do get some awesome ones, though, too.

the july concert will be awesome...i'm majorly looking forward to it. the new stuff'll be amazing to see.

Yeah you're so right about other ands skipping us over, like Chantal, she never plays Saskatchewan! But Sum 41 is at least playing here in Regina on May 26th! And The Juliana Theory just played here in march, even though they aren't all that famous in these parts... but yeah most big bands wouldn't come here... That's why summersault was so awesome! At least I have tickets to see Ozzy and Finger Eleven in Winnipeg in June! Woohoo!

yea, like corey said you cant expect them to play a new set every night with completely different songs.

I and a few others said it they should play similar to last summer's Weezer tour. They took 30 songs practiced them and had light programs for them all etc. Then every night they randomized them using the computer choosing 16-18 songs. Of course they made sure their were a few singles in there and the encore consisted of a single and non-single but the set list was in a different order every night and one or two songs switched every night. Those expecting them to play songs like "Dirty Walls" or "Blister" it is not happening. I mean now with new songs they will drop some Gravity songs but dont expect to see Superman, Naveed, Starseed, IAH? leave anytime soon. It is a production not just them with instruments. Hopefully they will follow Weezer but I doubt it. I think Jer on a flaming OLP would be funny to see

No??? I had no idea about Vanilla Ice!!! Too cool. Or not lol

But I'm not going to the Trooper/Doobie concert, because with 60 bucks for ozzy, 110 for ROckin the valley 33 for Sum, and then like another 150 for the Stage 13 thing, that's already a lot of cash.

And ya I missed Juliana Theory too cause it was on my mom's b-day!

I personally wouldn't end with the singalong. I'd do that second last, then end with a faster-paced rock tune. Something like The Birdman or Not Afraid or Starseed.

I was just thinking that we're going to get less of the older songs what with the new album coming out - which isn't really such a bad thing given the new stuff i've heard so far, but a longer set and lots of old and new songs would be the best (25 songs sets like you guys have been dreaming of :))

I think IAH? will probably go before the others on your list - they only played it once or twice on the whole european tour which was a real shame. Naveed had better not go, though it might - the setlist for one of the shows I went to had it taken out and replaced with Automatic Flowers (which I would have probably died if they'd played!) but they switched it back at the last minute and they played Naveed.
