Is it just me or is ANYONE sick of...

Post by Lando »

Are there any songs people are getting tired of them having in their set???

The only one I can honestly say I'm tired of seeing them play live is WHATEVER... After seeing it like 5 times, it's just old or something... I dunno...

Right Behind You....

I get tired of the same solos (drum and guitar) and the same antics by Raine being done in the same spots every night. I wish they'd mix that up a bit and improv it. Like seriously you can prepare for what's going to happen during every song. You know Raine is going to molest Steve in Birdman and you know Steve is gonna go off at the beginning of Naveed and Starseed,

I think it would be cool if they just broke out into solos during different songs every night....

I dont know if i get tired of songs played live, but i wish they would mix it up and throw in some older one once in a while like carnival, potato girl, and of course they should make neon crossing a permanent part of every concert.
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

Yah.. I've seen them like 6 times, but it was 6 differnet years. they blew me away :) it's kinda like watching a television show. if you watch the same simpsons episode, you get sick of it. See new ones, you laugh yourself silly.

I like their set. but that's me :)

Whenever death may surprise us,
let it be welcome
if our battle cry has reached even one receptive ear
and another hand reaches out to take up our arms.

there is the guy, he is a big motherfucker, he is not one of these pussy boy wrestlers...he spends 10 hours a day in the gym building himself into a machine, his name is Chris Benoit and this is his theme songs, whatever

*bethany shoots raine with sniper rifle*

i hope they stop playing whatever and put starseed back at the end like it was at every show until gravity came out. Innocent and SOT can go too they seem to inspire the most crowd surfers but those are their "big" songs so that wont happen

I'd agree that mixing up the setlist a little more would be nice. But I don't mind too much. What was nice about seeing them play Talk Is Cheap and Not Afraid was that they were still working on them so they'd sound different every night - Raine was changing the words and the guitar parts would change a bit or for some reason they'd sound heavier one night than the others.

And whoever explained the Whatever intro you forgot to mention the bit where Raine explains that Chris Benoit is Canadian and the crowd goes wild(well, in Canada they did, over here that just gets a small cheer!) :)

Think of how unfair it would be for other fans if they mix up their setlist every night...

Fan #1: "w00t!!! They played Stealing Babies for Toronto!!!"
Fan #2: "Damn you!! They only played SWOT for Detroid's encore!"
Fan #3: "Shut up! At least you got SWOT AND Wonderful Future! Vancouver didn't even get an encore!"
Fan #2: "Yeah, but they played Carnival for you"
Fan #3: "They played Carnival for EVERYONE!"
Fan #2: "Correction, they played Carnival for everyone except Toronto"

...and it goes on...

ya but thats what would make it interesting. You wouldn't know what to expect. I remember seeing OLP for the second time in a month back in the fall and the second time around I was able to name off every song they were gonna play in order from start to finish before the show. That's not fun.

I think just throwing in an odd song for every show would be cool, and just kinda mix the set up a bit. Maybe put things in blocks where like 4 songs could be placed behind or in front of another 4 songs and so on, just so that way you don't lose the flow
