Yeah but filming the red carpet in a parking lot is bad production in my books.

I agree with him totally on the songwriter of the year thing.

And Matt Good said it best "the Junos should be an award show for Canadian artists, not Canadian artists who did well in the states last year." Really, Godspeed not nominated for ANYTHING?!?!?!
Al's emails put a smile on my face, even though all they say is "You've got a private message!"

Matt Good should of cleared the Junos, he was by far the best canadian artist in the past year.

i agree with you for songwriter, too. c'mon AVRIL!?!
at least try and get someone who writes their own music, and if its not too much to ask, has some depth too.

Even though I like Avril I do agree she didn't deserve best songwriter .. she does write her material .. but she also has help from co-writers so she doesn't deserve that award just yet.

when i first heard avril i was like "what the hell is this shit?!?" but im slowly starting to like her. her songs just keep improving, and her latest might actually be called 'good'

i think the reason why i dont have a ton of respect for is because she become so immensely popular in such a short time. i dont see why she deserves all the attention when there are so many artists that are just as talented as her.

no, i guess that came out wrong. i wouldnt NOT like her because of her popularity, i just don't understand how it happened that she became so popular so quickly. i guess im just the type to root for the underdog. :P

The media made her popular .. unfortunately her image made her popular with the younger crowd .. I'm hoping now that she's getting older she'll tell her record company and her managers to fuck off and just do her own thing ..

 she mentioned that in the future she'd like to produce her own music. maybe then she will go beyond the image that the media has created for her.

Well .. her attitude has changed quite a bit .. I thought that was very noticable just from how she presented herself at the awards show .. so hopefully she's on the right track now.
