IME sounds like OLP?????

my freind cant say our lady peace without putting a 'of ' in there. she keeps on saying our lady of peace, and i keep telling her its our lady peace, no of godamit!

yes, it seems the elder type of our species (ie. our parents) cant handle our lady peace, plain and simple.

Same here, with the "Our Lady of Peace" and "Lady Peace"... it's not that hard. I don't understand why so many people can't get it right. Oh well, at least it's amusing. :lol:

i told my mom it wasnt based on religion, it was named after a poem. 'so it was a religious peom then?'

I can't say I agree with this thread. They are Both really good bands, but the chords used in IME's songs are more complicated I find. And there are more of them. like if you compare 4am or superman's dead where it's like 4 or 5 chords, to Used to be Alright.. there's no comparison. As for the singers, I haven't heard the new CD yet, but I can't see how brian sounds like raine.

I don't know..

First of all, IME is really good but they don't sound like OLP. I almost forgot about IME, actually...I remember when they were so popular years ago! :roll:

I've never heard anyone call OLP "Our Lady of Peace" or "Lady Peace". :lol:

Me and my friends came up with "Notre Dame Paix" on purpose once and someone on the CC tried to correct me saying it would translate to "Notre DAme de Paix" in French...meaning "Our Lady of Peace" but that wouldn't be a correct translater...haha. My dad has never messed up OLP's name but he keeps asking me why they have so many names have religious names (ie. OLP and Creed)
