If i had a guitar i'd teach myself, or have a friend teach me.
leasons = blah. I'd just stick to it for hours everday till i was good.

yup, i'd learn how to read music and do the hand position things, then just play my ass off forever. i want one so fricking bad but i dont know if i should go with acousic or electric and how much to spend to start off.

always start with acoustic that is what i have but im gunna take less ons cause i cant focus on one thing while on the comp

You'll be able to find one for $500.
I may be wrong beacuse I never bought an acoustical guitar. I got mine from my grandma
ANd start out on an acoustic. NO sense in spending x amount of dollars on an electric and amp and effects if you are gonna give up playing a few months down the road

and Josh....dont study the guitar while practicing. Like you said you wont be able to focus. One can successfully self-teach one-self. If you need stuying material, print it all out. It comes in handy.

My-self for example...I do not buy epiphone or squire guitars.....I buy original gear
