communists and pussies? you don't know a thing about Canada to be making such comments
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

I was just lowering myself to get a reaction. I retract said comment of 'most Canadians being communists and pussies'. You're mostly hockey players and hippies...

that's exactly how I feel.

Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

I'm an American, and I think Candians are alright folk. Some do support the war, some don't; it's like that in about every nation. Plus, OLP's Canadian, so that's cool.

Both of those comments are very low and disgusting.

and funnier still, is the fact that all the american soldiers that dies were a result of "friendly fire". that is so hilarious to me. is anybody believing this hsit? i swear to god...

Hows that funny to you? I haven't heard of any friendly fire deaths for awhile now, but it does happen. But I think its extremely sad you find it funny. Also, why would you think thats a cover up? Wouldn't it be worse than an Iraqi killing them, as far as pride goes? And 50,000 seems too high for an iraqi death count.

its funny ot me because the us had full control over the osuthern half of teh ocuntry like, ten minutes aftre teh first attack. and people actually buy into that shit. i fidnit funny because they expect people to believe that iraqis didnt kill anybody. like...the hellicpter just fell...who knows how? soldiers died...friendly fire. its not funny that people died...i hope it didnt come across that way. its funny teh stuff they put out there and expect people to believe. and funnier still is the fact that people believe it.

and the poeple that are against war dont have distorted views at all. just because they are different. doesnt mean they are distorted.

ummm...which al-jazeera reporters do you see out ther with the troops?????

the point is, those poeple can report back whatever they want to...they're not going ot report things that are against the war or mak eit look bad in any way. the frecnch/germans/etc. didnt have that access and i saw the press conference with the guy thats in charge of press form the UK or wherever and he wa slike "well, when you support the war..." so yeah.

Why don't you try landing a helicopter in sand?

OLPGoose wrote:and the poeple that are against war dont have distorted views at all. just because they are different. doesnt mean they are distorted.

And that is true . . . but their views aren't distorted because they're different. I'm sure we all acknowledge that there are many people against the war who have reasonable views. They can be different without being distorted, but that is not always the case.

Here is an example of someone against the war with distorted views: you.

Here's something you said: "and funnier still, is the fact that all the american soldiers that dies were a result of "friendly fire"." That's not true. You're forgetting the executed American POW's. You just hear more about the friendly fire deaths in the news. It gets more attention, because it is tragic.

You also think the US military has an obligation to cater to everybody who wants to cover the war, which is absurd. Their job is not to babysit a bunch of reporters. Reporters have more freedom when they're independent anyway, you know.
