Not Afraid Lyrics!

Post by areusad831 »

so far i think we have...

Lying on the bed
everybody feels this way
but anybody else agree/believe (?)
Are you worry about the way you know
you worry about your fancy clothes
but anybody else believes?

I'm not afraid
I'm not alone
just hanging on way too long
let me out let me in
let me stumble when I fall
you noticed me, I noticed you
but it's the simple things I feel you knew
let me out let me in
yeah

Are you worried about it, I feel you know (????)
feeling up/fill you up? and it to know/fitting it I’ve been hid to know
but anybody else believe
and are you going on your own, you say (????)
I'm feeling more against the day
but anybody else the day (?)

I'm not afraid
I'm not alone
just hanging on way too long
let me out let me in
let me stumble when I fall
you noticed me, I noticed you
but it's the feeling that I feel you knew
let me out let me in
yeah

[guitar solo]

let me out
let me in
let me know I feel you'll win (?)
you wanted more you wanted this
you wanted more more more....

let me say
let me know
let me feel I know you'd fall
you wanted more
you wanted this
you wanted simple things
I miss

looking good (?)

it's like the sky is falling down
it's like the rain in the ground
like the sun on the night(?)
like the feeling but I am just alright
I know I know I know

I'm not afraid
I'm not alone
just hanging on way too long
let me out let me in
let me stumble when I fall
you noticed me I noticed you
but it's the simple thing I, simple things I, simple things I...

Awesome...

I was floored when I watched that OLP "Exposed" from MM, and when Raine said that he wrote a song during soundcheck. He's amazing...

I finally got to see Exposed today and I'd been thinking that it was Not Afraid they wrote at the Ottawa soundcheck (it sounded familiar when they played it in Brussels) but what I heard on Exposed didn't sound like Not Afraid - maybe it was and it's just changed a lot since then.

As for the Not Afraid lyrics, I haven't been able to get hold of the Juno's performance yet :'( and I know Raine was changing the lyrics a bit every show, but here are my thoughts.

I think it's 'does anybody else believe' - though one night I'm sure Raine was singing 'when anybody else would leave'.

The line: 'Are you worry about the way you know' I'm sure I heard 'are there problems in the way you know, problems that I can't explore' some nights, but Raine was changing it around again.

In the middle of the second verse I'm sure Raine was singing 'and are you waking up I know you're' something - maybe right?

'let me know I feel you'll win (?)' - I thought the end was 'I know you won't.'

'it's like the sky is falling down' - I heard star instead of sky.

These are just my thoughts. I could be totally wrong hearings or Raine's changed the words since. When I finally get my hands on a recording and listen to it over and over and over again (which I know I will) then I may change my mind.

In fact, I heard something like "a bee".

well now that i think about, it must be 'a bee', that's the only thing that could possibly make sense.

i kinda hear a "bee" sound, but i thought it could be a "dee" sound too.

I've finally got hold of an mp3 of the Junos performance and I'll agree with you that it's sky there. I thought it was star before though - so maybe I was wrong, maybe Raine changed the lyrics - I guess there's no way of knowing now.

It sounds a bit different on the Junos - Raine's definitely changed some words in there and it's not the same without 2 guitars (see the I miss Mike E. thread :) ). And you can actually hear what Raine's singing - only in Manchester where the sound was super good could you hear anywhere near as clearly as on there and even then there were still bits where Raine wasn't clear.

The lyrics on ourladypeace.cc say
"And are you worried about how I feel you know
Funny I've been hit to know (?)"
- But I'm absolutely certain it's "Pity I've been yet to know". It sounds like it, and it makes sense. Also, where he says "looking good" I'm pretty sure he's saying "look at it again" just kind of fast. Anyway, that's all I have.

I wouldn't get too worried over the lyrics that are on ourladypeace.cc... there are definitely some errors on there...

for instance, check the "Sorry" demo lyrics --> "deepening this circle stance"?? sounds more like "debating (although it could very well be deepening) this circumstance"

also, check out the "Blind Anniversary" demo lyrics --> "and there'll be lemon lies"?? hahaha, what's a lemon lie? it's really gotta be "and there'll be no more lies" ..... "You're fighting the pain, And fighting the push and pull" is really "You're biting the pain, and fighting the push and pull"

so my point is, no one will really know the true lyrics of Not Afraid until they are actually released...

ya I totally re-wrote the Trapeze lyrics for them and they didn't bother worrying about it... their's are totally off though
