Please check out the site at http://www.geocities.com/happinessisatributecd and click on the "Get Your Copy Now!" link for info on how to obtain this album. I think that someone in another thread had suggested putting these songs on the hub. Unfortunatly, my modem is *really* slow and doing that would take forever for me (if it would be even possible!) but if you get the cd, please feel free to distribute copies as you see fit...this includes mp3s on the hub!

As it says on the site, one thing I ask you do not do is sell copies. We've all seen "that person" on ebay (or the like) selling OLP boots for $50 and up...I want to keep this music free for all the fans. I go into a little more detail on this topic on the main page of the site.

Sure, sharing it on the hub is cool! Just make sure that when you make it into mp3s you include both the song name and the person or band who performed it. If there's any way you can include "Happiness...Is A Tribute CD" in the mp3 info (I think it's called ID3 or something?) and/or the website address, that would be ideal, but if you can't, it's not necessary.

And to Liam...sure you can have it! Just check out http://www.geocities.com/happinessisatributecd and click the link that says "Get Yours Now!" Basically, it's free, I'm just asking that you provide the blank cd-r and postage back to you (B&P...more info at the site). Oh, and the cover art is printable off the website as well...both a front and back!

Troy, that's a really awesome thing you did, especially keeping it nonprofit and even donating to War Child. If OLP caught wind of it, I bet they'd really appreciate it as well.

Thanks for the compliments! The next time OLP comes to Philly, I'm going to go really early (maybe around noon or 1?) and try to catch them as they come off the bus so I can give them a copy. I don't know if it'll work, but it's sure worth a try! Maybe I could even get them to sign my copy of the cd

Odd I clicked on it a few mins ago and it came up. Now it's unavailable.

Probably bandwidth restrictions. If someone could get it up on the hub that would be great. Depending on time I could host it on my own site as well for a bit.

I work for an ISP so I don't have any bandwidth constrictions (And for as little as $10/month you could have the same)

I got my goods on the way to Troy right now.........I might have it possibly late next week, and I'll share it on the hub.

Troy - Yeah, I can set up the folder so people know exactly what it is when they go to DL it. It'll be sweet....

That'll be kick ass when you're able to get the album to the guys, they'll think that's really awesome. I'd love to be there to see the reaction. I'm hoping for some NY shows this summer. Phili might be quite the drive for me, otherwise I'd say hell yeah.

I actually have a really slow connection (56k modem that seldom gets over 28.8 connections...go figure!) so I've never tried using the hub. I didn't know that you could put things in folders and note that a group of songs (such as the tribute) go together and put some info. Yeah, so that's really cool!

Once you put something up on the hub, is it there for good or is it like a p2p thing (like Napster or something) where someone needs to host the file right as someone is d/l-ing it? I was under the impression that it was like a p2p thing but I'm not sure.

Troy - yes its P2P, but once I receive the cd and upload it to my computer I'll leave the hub connected for a day or two, because I have cable connection and my comp is usually on unless something is up.

BTW....lemmie know when ya get the goods, it should be there within the next couple of days.
