I don't see anything wrong with that... Since who said that weed is bad anyway? Society? LOL. To say that drugs are bad is to acknowledge what society defines as "drugs", but anyway, let's not get into that...

I for one really don't care if he decided to light one up in Europe......its his business, and marijuana really isn't that bad.........hell, alcohol is worse......so let the man have some fun and we can stop being his parents......geez.

:wtf:

That can't be real. I've never seen an article where he's said that Mike didn't grow fast enough...

then again, it never clearified that Raine did dope in the article... plus he never said what was too strong:

with the super skunk from Amsterdam that he is chugging down. “You want some?” he asks me. I’m don’t smoke it, and tell him I’ve never done it “Stay away then man, you don’t want any of this, it’s too strong!”

I'm don't smoke it... maybe its merely one screwed up typo where he was drinking whisky or somthing

I have no problem with Raine smoking weed. I do have a problem with Raine saying this.

Guys, I hate it as much as the rest of you, but I really wouldn't doubt the review... and, by the way, it's a type of pot (very strong type, at that). It really makes me sad, cos he's slowly killing that beautiful voice with pot. Oh well. Doesn't really surprise me.

That review's just a bit wierd. The guy wrote one about the Birmingham show in November too and they both show that the he doesn't really know what he's talking about - that bit about Jer being the youngest in this one and there were a few things in the November one. Some of the things he attributes the guys as saying in this review were actually said in the seminar in the afternoon rather than after the show (well, I wasn't there after the show, but the words are the same as were said in the afternoon). The style of that review's just odd though - like the guy's been taking something himself - it's more of a 'hey, look at me I'm hanging out with OLP' thing rather than any kind of review or interview with them. I think I might know who the guy is - if I see him again I'll ask what he's on about. As far as I'm concerned I don't care if Raine smokes pot or not - what he does in his own time is up to him - but that's not the kind of thing that you write about in a review that gets read by lots of OLP fans. There are things that have come up in conversation with OLP that I'm not repeating on any board ever - not that there's anything bad about them but they're just not the kind of things that should be put up for public discussion - this guy doesn't seem to see that there's a line there that he shouldn't be crossing.

Sarah - if you're reading this - did you make it to the Birmingham show in the end? It was really amazing. I ended up second row in front of Duncan and he and Mike were singing to us lots. Then Raine climbed the speakers right in front of us during Starseed. And we spent Avril's set in the bar chatting with the editor of Rock Sound.
