Raine does dope?????

Post by Mark Loj »

From an aritcle on olp.cc:

Finally, let us deal with the voice, the face and the core of every band: The Lead singer. Raine Maide is certainly not your average lead singer. His voice is one of the most intriguing in rock; for a start, he sings every song and never conducts the ‘rock scream’. He’s certainly the most relaxed in the room, but then again that may have to do with the super skunk from Amsterdam that he is chugging down. “You want some?” he asks me. I’m don’t smoke it, and tell him I’ve never done it “Stay away then man, you don’t want any of this, it’s too strong!” Even my man with me, who knows his stuff, couldn’t chug it without coughing. Raine is proud of the new direction the band is heading in. “We’re going for a new, heavier sound, a more raw sound”. This is something the band has been wanting to do for a while, and is partly the reason why Mike Turner left the band in the first place…as Raine says “We all grew as a band, but Mike just didn’t grow fast enough”

*blinks* Okay.

This doesn't seem like your typical news article, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it were true.

Yep, Raine was supposedly smoking weed backstage. Interesting.

I dunno... it sounded a little too glamoured... after reading that article it just didn't seem real... I dunno why, it just seemed kinda phoney...

does "chugging" not imply that it was booze or some sort of liquid?

Liquid usually doesn't go with the term "smoke".
