they're a cookie cutter pop-punk band. how are they good? they have absolutely no standout talents at all. they sound exactly like the blink 182 000 000 other stupid ass pop punk bands filling up the airwaves with their derivative horeshit.

i'd rather shit razorblades then listen to this crap.

you make me sick. isn't our lady peace another one of those "cookie-cutter" creed/nickelback rock like bands? they sure sound like it these days. dont tell me you cant hear nickelback singing all for you or creed singing not enough. why do we like bands? because they produce a sound that is likable.. which is why most "original" bands are so out of wack that nobody likes them. if you really didn't like "cookie-cutter" bands then you wouldn't like our lady peace. everything these days gets labelled and music falls into many genres.. so if bands fall into the same genre, wouldn't they just be another copy cat band? it doesnt make sense.

idiot.

naveed, while it may be a post-grunge record, broke ground with it's intelligent lyrics about something other then killing yourself. it stands, to this day, as virtually the only record to come out of that era that was not about the shittiness of life. it challenged fans to think.

original album count: 1.

clumsy is an album which represents an era when canadian bands were by far the best in the world. songs such as "carnival" and "car crash" are unlike anything any other band has ever done. it was brilliant. it was, once again, ground breaking.

orginal album count: 2

happiness... is not a fish that you can catch is one of the most musically complex albums ever recorded. with boderline electronica elements combined with melodies as catchy and beautiful as any pop song on top of the heavily distorted guitars, this album, with it's painstaking attention to detail, remains in my books and many others as the greatest album ever recorded by human beings. this is a masterpiece. even if it wasn't groundbreaking and unique, it would still be worthy of the highest praise.

original album count: 3.

spiritual machines was a concept record. while i could stop there, i won't. standout tracks "in repair", "the wonderful future" and "all my friends" are among the very best our lady peace, or any band, has ever done. once again, painstaking attention to detail presents itself throughout with such elements as bag pipe synth's on "life" and of course, the heart stopping vocals on "all my friends". this album also had the strongest melodies of our lady peace's career.

original album count: 4.

gravity is not original.

4/5 albums are unique and amazing. the songwriting on all of these records was not formulated by attempting to fit into an existing genre, but in an attempt to create their own. they succeeded.

i can't tell the difference between yellowcard and the half dozen other crappy no talent punk bands that are springing up these days. with the exception of the electric violin, yellowcard has nothing to set themselves appart from not by choice, simple plan, good charolette et al.

boooooooring.
