Licorice!

Post by One-Eye »

I have always been a fan of black licorice, but was under the assumption that the red variety sucked big monkey pucky. HOWEVER! This is not true! TWIZZLERS brand do indeed suck big monkey pucky, but RED VINES are the most delicious foodstuffs that I have ever had the pleasure of placing in my mouth! There are people out there who still stand up for Twizzlers, despite the fact that they taste like long strings of ass, so I just wanted to inform the world: LICORICE IS GOOD! AND IT IS RED VINES!

Twizzlers all the way. I have never tried Red Vines, but aren't they thicker? Twizzlers Pull n Peels make me dizzy, though... I think its because of the corn syrup.

Ah, Emily, you are one of the poor souls of which I speak! Yes, Red Vines are thicker, and they are infinitely better than Twizzlers!

From the box:

"Red Vines is the only major brand still making twists the old fashioned way, in a three-day batch process. It's no wonder our candy has been an American favorite since 1914. Enjoy each and every sweet, chewy bite. Delicious!"

Whoever wrote that copy should be awarded, for they could not be more right. I have inhaled the entire box of these things and all I can think is "More, more, MORE!!"

well, perhaps if you would SEND me a package of red vines and $100 you could possibly sway my opinion.

I'm up for any type of red licorice, I don't discriminate against companies. Black licorice on the other hand, can just go die a very horrible and painful death.

agreed. when i was around 6, i contracted some kind of virus, and the doctor gave me medicine along with a bag of black licorice. whether it was a cruel joke or actually held medical potential, i will never know, but from that point on i always hated black licorice.

black licorice is gross
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.
